Tribulation Farce: A Left Behind Podcast

Your podcast came up during an episode of Knowledge Fight. I decided to try it out, and I’m hooked. Your chemistry with each other is great. I love the insight you both bring from your backgrounds on dissecting these books. I remember seeing them on sale and being intrigued by the front cover, but as soon as I looked at the back cover I knew it wasn’t for me. You guys should do this with more right wing written nonsense.

This is one of the many excellent podcasts featuring Jennifer and Tim. Their playful review of the Left Behind series provides hours of quality entertainment and laugh-out-loud comedy. But even more uniquely, they also offer thoughtful reflections on how these works, and Christian eschatology in general, have contributed to the modern US social and political landscape. As a Catholic gay man working in biotech, I’ve experienced my own winding journey reconciling faith, conscience, and reason. I find their discussion to be an authentic and compassionate exploration of the topic that helps me reflect on dark experiences that, weirdly, plays such an out-sized role in so many of our lives. If you’re like me, you may find it to be like a mini therapy session guided by two kind and funny friends who’ve been down that road before.

I used to listen to Drunks and Dragons and fell in love with Tim and Jennifer's characters, deliveries and voices. I enjoy when they get worked up and become expressive and charged by the topic they are discussing and end up belly laughing. It shows that they truly enjoy what they're talking about. If I had friends I picture people similar to Tim and Jennifer being among them.
