    Snowmageddon 2026 hit New York and somehow I’m the one running errands in a blizzard like a Victorian orphan. Daniel and I are back this week with more chaos and insanity. Then Broadway star, Jonathan Groff shows up, radiating golden retriever theater kid energy, and the episode goes fully off the rails. We do dueling intros like we’re competing for a Tony. He spills on Spring Awakening, Hamilton, Looking, and his Bobby Darin show Just in Time — including the night his voice literally clocked out mid-show and he had to hand it to his understudy like, “Congrats babe, you’re Bobby now.” We detour into Broadway gossip, Patti LuPone praise, Liza worship, Fire Island flashbacks, Sean Hayes supremacy, and the economic trauma of doing prestige art for no money.     It’s part 2 with the legendary Coco Peru- and it is ALL THAT, queen! We get into Coco’s sitcom era — including Will & Grace — and the very glamorous experience of having your role slowly edited into oblivion. Did she spiral? No. Did she take it personally? Also no. Because when your name is still big in the credits, you sip your tea and move on. We talk about Trick — the gay rom-com that changed lives (including one of ours in a Cleveland Hollywood Video aisle). Coco shares what it meant to finally be in a gay film that wasn’t about dying. Revolutionary! Groundbreaking! And somehow still under‑appreciated by the gay press at the time. Typical. We also get into activism — and why Coco chose storytelling over rage. From early pushback within the community to being hated‑then‑loved in college, she reflects on building a drag persona that wasn’t about impersonating women, but about bridging gaps and telling the truth in heels. And then… retirement? Less red-eye flights. More writing. More traveling with her husband. Maybe stepping away from nightlife economics and venues that care more about vodka soda sales than art. A radical concept: leaving the room with a little dignity.     This week Daniel and I sat down with the legendary Coco Peru in Stowe and, girl, I was positively giddy. I was first introduced to Coco in the truly seminal gay film Trick  and have been a huge fan ever since. And let me tell you she is everything you think she is and more!  Coco glides in, perfectly composed, and immediately starts dropping wisdom like a glamorous life coach who’s survived both Fire Island and Provincetown. We talk about Trick of course, Fire Island and how she met her Spanish husband there 30 years ago , the unique “trauma” of P‑Town travel, getting pelted with beads during a parade, and what happens when a gay crowd decides to get… spicy. She breaks down the art of commanding a room, controlling your mic, and giving ski‑week gays something to laugh at without losing your soul. She’s sharp. She’s hilarious. It’s deeply self-aware. She’s brutally honest (as only Coco can be).  It’s very “I’ve been doing this longer than you’ve been moisturising.” And this is only Part 1 of 2, people. Part 2? And Sherry Pie delivers a no-holds-barred, super candid interview that was WAAAAY overdue.  Along the way, we zigzag from drag as high art to public downfall, from internet pile‑ons to personal responsibility, and from empathy to the question nobody agrees on: who gets grace, and who never does? This episode asks, can there be accountability without erasure, consequences without cruelty, and what “moving forward” even means when the internet never forgets or forgives. Listen — or don’t.
