True Crit

I myself, being young, have never quite grasped the feeling of loss, until now. Several years ago, about 2020, I discovered this podcast on Spotify, I listened, laughed, and loved every moment of it. These three, smelly fellas, felt real. I’ve played my fair share of dungeons and dragons and listened too, but these guys felt so real, funny and relatable. Their humor got me. I have so many fond memories, heck every time I say “Dag Nabbit!” I hear in my head someone say “Mr. Nabbit.” It has been four years, of just constant memories of these guys. I finally today decided to hunt them down to see if they’ve posted, and it is heartbreaking to see that covid took them from us. I hope they are all safe, but I miss them. I love their content dearly, and adore their humor and imagination. Their characters felt real, and I loved to hear of the few, yet grand adventures they underwent. What is a true heartbreak? The loss of friends. This podcast was a dear friend, although short lived, it has left a hole in my heart. Sure, I may never know what happens, but I’m okay with that. It’s the loss of future joy that brings me sadness. These people had a gift to share, and they were doing it. But sadly their chance was taken from them by Covid, and thus from the world. I know this review is just going out into the vastness of the internet, probably to never be read by the creators, but just in case it is, I miss you. And I know I’m not the only one.

This podcast kicks off in high gear and constantly delivers. The in-character and out-of-character interactions are great. 4 episodes in and loving the story so far.

Even as someone who has never played D&D before, this podcast made me want to join right in! Feels like I’m hanging out with my best buds - can’t wait for more episodes!
