I Made $0 for 5 Weeks and My Business Grew Anyway

I didn't post for five weeks. Not a podcast episode, not a TikTok, not a newsletter, in English or in French. In this episode I get real about why: I wasn't lazy, I wasn't behind, I was creating content just to feed an algorithm instead of connecting with you. I walk through my six years of content, the break I took (which involved way more online roleplay gaming than business strategy), the friend who reminded me why I love writing, and the moment I realized my block was never about running out of ideas, it was about not feeling safe in my own business anymore. I also get transparent about the money (or lack of it), what happened to my following and engagement while I was silent, and why rest isn't the same thing as quitting. In this episode: Why I stopped creating content after six years, even though I love itWhat five weeks of silence actually did to my podcast, Substack, and followingThe difference between taking a break because you want to versus because you need toHow an online roleplay game (and a stranger who loves writing) helped me get unblockedWhy my "writer's block" was really a safety problem, not a skill problemHow I use AI in my process, and what I never let it do for mePermission to rest, to ask for help, and to make money without proving it in every postTimestamps: 00:00 — Why I disappeared for five weeks across every platform00:51 — What actually happens to your business when you stop posting01:15 — My six-year content journey, from my first blog to now04:07 — Deciding to take a real break instead of forcing "good content"05:01 — What the break actually looked like (hint: not a wellness retreat)07:36 — The friend who reminded me why I love to write09:02 — Realizing the block was never about writing, it was about safety12:11 — How I actually use AI in my content process13:17 — The numbers: what grew (and what didn't) while I was silent15:05 — Permission to rest, to make money, and to stop proving yourself17:21 — Coming back to content with way less pressure19:23 — It's okay to ask for help, and it's okay to slow downIf this hit home, sign up for my newsletter at [link] for more of this, and grab my free business reset audit at [link] to see exactly where your business needs support before burnout makes the decision for you.

From "Maybe" to "I Am": How to Finally Own Your Brand Out Loud?

Book 1 to 1 : https://cal.com/alycia-avec-simplicite-bj14ox/60min Join my substack : https://mademoisellemindset.substack.com/ In this episode, True queen moves beyond the basics of personal branding (logos, brand statements, visuals) to explore what actually separates brands that convert from brands that don't, even when they look nearly identical. Using a story from her cousin's wedding in the Belgian countryside, she explains how confidence and self-embodiment, not the perfect outfit or photoshoot, are what people actually respond to. She unpacks why so many entrepreneurs unconsciously sabotage their own brand by using hedging language like "maybe" and "what if," and how that hesitation makes potential clients doubt them, even when their offer is better and cheaper than a competitor's. The episode also addresses the rise of AI-generated content and why flawless, AI-perfect personas are losing to creators who show personality and point of view. Drawing comparisons to Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift, she illustrates how the strongest personal brands aren't the ones that look the most polished, but the ones whose creators fully commit to and embody their vision, even before everything is perfect. Key takeaways: Personal branding is about embodiment, not just aestheticsHesitant language ("maybe," "what if") undermines client trustAI-perfect content isn't what makes brands stand outCommitment to your vision, even imperfectly, builds recognition and loyalty

You can have great engagement, a growing audience, and still end up with one or two misaligned clients at the end of the month. That was my client's reality before we worked together. She was posting every day, investing in content strategy coaches, and even going viral but nothing converted into consistent sales. The problem was never her content. It was her offer architecture. In this episode, I break down the exact case study: what we found when we audited her data, why pain-focused content attracts the wrong clients, and how rebuilding her offer suite helped her double her income in one month without posting more. If your content educates but does not convert, this one is for you. You had a strong January. People were buying. And now it's Q2 and everything slowed down. You're posting more, tweaking your offer, chasing every trend and still no sales. It's not the algorithm. It's not the season. It's not your price. You don't have a system. In this episode, I break down the 4 levers you need to sell consistently no matter what month it is: clear messaging, knowing your dream client by heart, an offer built for the right person, and knowing your business data cold. When you have all four, slow season becomes a choice not a crisis. You Are Not Late, What Social Media Is Lying to You About Success and Timelines

Join my substack : https://mademoisellemindset.substack.com/ If you need help figuring this out, I created The $5K Breakthrough System, a diagnostic workbook that shows you exactly what’s leaking revenue, time, and energy in your business in just 48 hours. You are not late. Not late in business. Not late in life. Not late compared to the person in your group coaching who already hit 10K. Not late because you're still building and they're already scaling. Social media is lying to you about timelines. The people you compare yourself to started 10 years ago. You're seeing their chapter 10 and measuring it against your chapter 1. The thought that you're late is what's actually making you late. It creates comparison, self-sabotage, and paralysis and it stops you from sharing your story, which is the only thing that actually sells. In this video I break down the 3 lies that make you feel behind and how to stop believing them.  0:00You are not late — but this feeling is what's making you lateOpen with the statement. Sit with it. Don't rush past it.0:40What society tells us our timeline should look like — and why it's wrong"6 months fully booked, living in Bali" — the lie we all consumed1:17The comparison trap inside group coaching — why other people's results aren't your benchmarkThey already have a community. Different starting line. Not the same race.2:22The yo-yo income problem — why inconsistency doesn't mean you're behind10K one month, 2K the next — this is a learning season, not failure3:24Why the "late" feeling creates self-sabotage, people-pleasing, and paralysisEgo pressure, wanting to prove yourself, making emotional decisions instead of strategic ones4:27The Gary V story — even he missed investing in Facebook and still built an empireMissing one thing doesn't define your journey. Continuing does.5:40You are in a learning process — not a failing processYou don't know the backend yet. You're scaling from 1-to-1 to 1-to-many. That takes time.6:26Why feeling late stops you from sharing your story — and why that kills your sales"You over-educate your audience like a dictionary but don't talk about yourself because you feel ashamed"8:33Gen Z, buying behavior, and why people still buy through emotion — not just speedThey still need to know you. Story sells. Always.9:28The singer who moved to Asia at 40 and won — your timeline is not the world's timelineIf she thought she was late, she would never have gone. She went. She won.10:44Stop watching social media every day if it makes you feel late — audit your business insteadWhat do I want to be known for? Who is my dream client? What is my content? Start there.12:10You are not late. Become your own best friend. Keep going.

You Invested in Photoshoots But Not YOURSELF, That's Why You're Not Selling

Join my substack : https://mademoisellemindset.substack.com/ If you need help figuring this out, I created The $5K Breakthrough System, a diagnostic workbook that shows you exactly what’s leaking revenue, time, and energy in your business in just 48 hours. Perfect branding, Bali photoshoot, beautiful feed but still can't attract high-ticket clients? Here's what nobody tells you: your image matters more than your brand identity, and it runs DEEPER than pretty pictures. When you don't feel confident, don't believe you're "the one," it shows through every photo, every post, every offer - even with perfect typography and professional shoots. In this raw video, I reveal why people with less knowledge make millions (confident image) while you struggle with perfect branding (empty inside). Your image = identity + personality + confidence. Stop investing in external branding while feeling "not enough" internally. When you work on YOUR confidence and image, everything shifts. They buy YOU, not your aesthetic. #personalbrand #confidence #brandingstrategy [0:00 - 0:36] Hook - Your image is crucial for brand development (deeper than people think)[0:36 - 1:30] Listened to advice: invest everything in business/marketing, not yourself[1:30 - 2:16] Image isn't just brand positioning, photo shoot, identity (surface level)[2:16 - 2:47] Pretty photoshoots but can't attract high-ticket clients - why?[2:47 - 3:34] Perfect brand but struggling with consistent sales (missing piece)[3:34 - 4:19] Image = identity, personality, confidence, how you show up[4:19 - 4:39] Personal story: scared to show face, used faceless marketing[4:39 - 5:09] Still struggled because wasn't confident behind the facade[5:09 - 6:12] Questions to ask: What image do you want? Who will you be at dream level?[6:12 - 6:37] Personal example: six-figure business vision = gym, health, yoga, confidence[6:37 - 7:03] Show your lifestyle in your brand (gym, healthy eating, confidence work)[7:03 - end] People with less knowledge make millions - confident image vs. perfect strategy
