    Truey Talks: Episode 50 ~ Plan to Conquer, Even When The Journey May Not Believe It

    From the last time we met, coming off an extensive rehab for the first major surgery of his career, 3TRUEY finds himself in his second country in five months after a stellar start in Portugal for SC Vasco da Gama. We hear about the time in Portugal, and what preceded the jump to LNB Elite 2 (France Pro B), which many refer to as the best 2nd division in Europe. Filled with excitement, McLean also presents to us the challenges that have come with the transition. Nevertheless, in typical 3TRUEY fashion, it is nothing that will waver him and that does not come with some profound (long winded) words of motivation and encouragement. OUR GUY is finally a PRO, and a pretty good one at that!- 3️⃣

    Truey Talks: Episode 49 ~ THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS w/ FGCU WBB HC Raina Harmon ⚜️

    3Truey sits down with first year head coach, Raina Harmon, as she embarks on a new journey and era of FGCU women's basketball. Coming most recently from BIG Ten powerhouse, Iowa, she takes us down the experience of Caitlin Clark-mania and her relationships with Hawkeye royalty, Kate Martin and Lisa Bluder. Her motto, Thoughts Become Things, is explained by Coach Harmon that summarizes and exemplifies everything we has been able to accomplish and be a part of from the young girl growing up in Detroit, to the playing and coaching days at Central Michigan University, to building onto the legacy of an mid-major mega-program that only expects and accepts excellence. And trust me, she has made it VERY clear that her tenure is in no way, shape or form a rebuild. To the world, we present the dawn of a new era for women's college basketball in Fort Myers. - 3️⃣

    Truey Talks: Episode 48 ~ THE RESURGENCE THROUGH a TRYING SZN 🔗

    After a long 7-month hiatus, stemming from postseason hopes, a second graduation, and a season-capping injury, 3Truey returns back to the camera to let everyone know where he's been, where he is, and where life is taking him. Upon this journey, he speaks about the opportunities he has had while being sidelined, and how they have helped shape an experience and spearhead a much-needed self examination that will forever be appreciated and never be forgotten.     3Truey sits down with seniors Casey Santoro and Maddie Antenucci, two key players for, arguably the most winningest mid major women’s college basketball program in the country over the last 20 years, Florida Gulf Coast University. Casey and Maddie both speak about their basketball journey — from the lands of Ohio to ending up in Fort Myers, Florida — as well as their perspectives on life through their experiences and lenses, and topping it off with their relationships with GOD, all by which are used as navigational tools to answer the bell, that is winning at FGCU with hopes of making a deep run in the tournament, now with a new team of many, many transfers and Coach Lyles, the recently appointed disciple of the legendary coach Karl Smesko (ATL Dream). Stay tuned — THIS IS A GOOD ONE 💨

    3Truey sits down with the freshman class of the 2024-25 FGCU MBB team — Tristen Guillouette, Cam Codio, BB Washington, Jack Reddick, Darren Williams, and Evan Barlow — and speak about their embarking on a new chapter of their life, that is college and college basketball. Here, Zay gives the group a forum to express what has been going on so far for them, as well as a bit of advice that will help them along the way for the rest of their careers and lives. FGCU, this is a very special group of young men!

    A lot has happened since the last time we spoke — 2 scrimmages, and 4 games — and we find ourselves at a point where we must look in the mirror and figure out how to get out of the funk that FGCU MBB is in right now. This episode speaks on Zavian’s journey so far as a FGCU basketball player, as well as what the team has learned about each other and what steps need to be taken in order to get that first win of the season.
