    The information from Episode 5 finally starts moving the investigation—but the arrest happens before the witness ever makes it to the police station. After weeks of unanswered questions, tips, names, screenshots, and information that didn't always add up, something changes. A mother comes forward with information about her son and three other young people who she says witnessed the shooting of TJ. She tells me they’re supposed to speak with detectives. Then comes August 6, 2022. 3:14 A.M. My phone rings. Investigators tell me they have the suspect in custody and are en route to the Moss Justice Center. After nearly two months of searching for answers, this should have been the moment I could finally breathe. But instead, I had questions. How did they get to him before the witness ever made it through the door? What did investigators already know? What had the witnesses told them? And what happened between that mother’s decision to speak and that early-morning phone call? The arrest was real.
