Tuesdays With Trisha

With so many crime podcasts out there I’m glad I found this gem. Not only is it intriguing, you get a different perspective than usual podcast.

I gave this podcast a try after learning about Girl X in my child psych course. To start, the host talks about visiting Chicago’s Cabrini Green (which no longer exists) and was told to cover her white skin up and told listeners the place was dangerous. No clarification on when she went to visit but that area has been gentrified for over a decade. The chiraqu stereotype is tiring. Second, the host has to relate everything to her personal life and that’s not what I’m here for. I don’t care if you used to play school too or don’t think syrup belongs on sandwiches. The story of a poor black girl who was raped is not about you. And lastly, the sound quality is bad. I had my speakers turned all the way up to still barely hear the story. Doesn’t matter anyway though, I found a much better podcast about Girl X.

I have never been one to like listening to Podcast … Tuesdays with Trisha gave me a change of heart. Each one of the episodes is so entertaining

I love love love this podcast. Trisha finds the most interesting cases to report on and has a beautiful way of story telling. Her voice is easy to listen to and she always keeps it authentic! Definitely give any of her episodes a listen, she won’t disappoint.
