on being a women in STEM (EP RECAP)

Welcome back to the pod! As we navigate professional growth together, I'm bringing back an episode from last year: on being a woman in STEM! Read the extended description below and I hope it resonates 3

    -----

Join Esha as she discusses her corporate life as a woman in STEM, and how her intersectionality has informed the way she navigates her career. In conventionally male-dominant industries, it can often be intimidating or anxiety-inducing to be in rooms that don’t seem as inviting or fit to support our ambitions as women of color. In this episode, Esha unpacks the best advice she’s gotten from female leaders, how to create a space for yourself and be comfortable with your identity so that your success is rooted in confidence.

As always, reach out to me with questions and if you have experiences like me, let’s have a conversation. Help me help you!

imposter syndrome and how we can overcome it

imposter syndrome and how we can overcome it

Welcome to the first episode of 2024! Thank you for tuning into Vol 1 of TOTR in 2024: Our Professional Growth Era.

I wanted to kick-start this "era" by talking about something that we've all felt, seen, experienced: Imposter Syndrome. Regardless of the phase of life we're in, it's so natural to feel like we're lacking in some capacity, not doing enough or that we don't deserve the things we've achieved.

And while I don't need to tell you why we need to overcome this mindset, I thought I'd share a few things that have helped me get over my imposter syndrome.

Here's a few takeaways you'll find in this episode:

    1. Find community and talk about your imposter syndrome. The more you talk about it, the more you realize you're not alone in feeling it, and community is where we thrive.

    2. Stop using the word "imposter syndrome." It's subconsciously doing you more harm than good.

    3. Never. Stop. Learning. The more you learn, the more confident you are in the things you want to achieve.

As always, leave a rating if you enjoyed the episode and thank you for listening in. I appreciate you and see on the next episode!

you are more than your anxiety

you are more than your anxiety

Welcome back! We're back with another SOLO EP to close out this week and kickstart this weekend!

The holidays can be a heavy time. As we close out the year and head onto bigger and better things, I wanted to take the time to reflect on thoughts that have shaped my perspective lately. They're heavy, they're abstract, but these reflections have helped me think about the heavy stuff a little differently.

At the end, as we bring December in, I hope this episode helps ease your anxiety, feel comfortable in your skin and remember that you can do whatever you put your mind to 3

As always, hoping this episode is a virtual hug :)

you deserve to take up space ft. Annika Sharma

Welcome back to the pod! So excited to have you listening in this week, and joining me and a special guest: Annika Sharma!

Annika is a podcaster, author and full-time creative who has used her voice to amplify the voices of other South Asians in the community. This week, we sit down and chat about her experience navigating her creative career, what her journey as an author has looked like and how motherhood has changed her.

If there's any episode I want my female audience to listen to and resonate with, it's this one. As women, we face so much pressure to choose motherhood, be "the perfect mother" and put always put ourselves second. On this episode, Annika and I chat through how she's figured out the mom guilt, set strong boundaries and taken up space in a way that empowers her to be a better woman and even better mother.

I am truly so excited for you to listen in today. Grab a cup of chai, get cozy and welcome to an episode that feels like a hug!

    navigating a big transition 101

    navigating a big transition 101

    Welcome back!

So excited to have you back and listening. In this episode, we chat about everything you can do to help navigate a big change in life. When I moved to the US at 18, the change was so striking and different. In so many ways, it was scary to make the transition but there are a few things that helped me, so I'm here to share.

In this episode, we chat about:

    - the importance of having true friendships, rooted in how good they make you feel

    - making sure that your excitement for change is more than your fear of it

    - pushing yourself to learn and reminding yourself why you wanted to undergo a transition to begin with

I hope this episode helps and it makes your change a little easier.

I luv you and as always, tell me what you thought of this episode :)
