Join Wil Wheaton (Flubber) and Mikey Neumann (saw Flubber twice) as they take a journey into forgotten pockets of television Americana. Mostly without context, they will watch random episodes of shows like Thunder in Paradise (Hulk Hogan,) Land of the Lost (the 1991 reboot,) and Knight Rider 2000 (the 1991 preboot to the reboot) and discuss whatever it is they believe is happening. Basically, MacGyver is too mainstream for this podcast.

Battle of the Bands
Join Wil and Mikey for what is an exercise in exhausted delirium. After recording for hours the first go around, they came to find out that their recording was unusable, lost to the very nature of time and decay. What follows is their second time recording, and oddly, an entirely (and far better) show than the firs time. Or at least that’s what we think. Did we succeed?

FUN FACT OF THE WEEK
* The exterior shots of Breaking Point, the venue for Battle of the Bands, were filmed on Santa Monica Boulevard at (what had been) the Starwood club. It hosted many punk/new wave acts in the ’70s and early ’80s, but closed in June 1981 and was torn down soon afterwards.

Miss this show
I loved this show and I miss it. Wish the old episodes were still available.
Why so many missing episodes?
I wonder why so many of these episodes no longer work or are missing?
A weirdly compelling show
Listening to two friends deconstruct some of the worst TV shows of the past 2 or 3 decades turns out to be hugely addictive. One of those podcasts that make you laugh out loud unexpectedly.
