    Episode 71 - Christian Stalnecker

    Colt and David sit down with singer/songwriter Christian Stalnecker.   Stalnecker is a Grammy-nominated writer and producer.  Originally from Jacksonville FL, Christian cut his teeth touring as a young adult in a nationally touring Christian revival family band. In high school, Christian found his voice as a pop artist. As an artist, Stalnecker toured in support of Destiny’s Child, Christina Aguilera, the Backstreet Boys and more.  After moving to LA in the early 2000s, Christian signed a publishing deal with Rodney Jerkins/ Sony ATV, and found success as a writer with the likes of El DeBarge, Dreezy and more.  After a few years, Christian relocated to Nashville and his songs were recorded by artists like T-Pain, Rick Ross, Wale, Kane Brown, Chris Young, and many more.  Christian signed to Reservoir, and had his first #1 as a songwriter with Kane Brown & Katelyn Brown’s “Thank God.” Instagram: www.instagram.com/stalnecker_ Send us a text Support the show Check out our socials and follow us!     Episode 70 - Rob Mayes

    Colt and David sit down with actor, singer and songwriter Rob Mayes.  Mayes is best known for his role in the ABC hit-series “Mistresses”, "The Neon Highway" with Beau Bridges and Lee Brice, and the Sundance cult-classic “John Dies at the End.”  Mayes has released several singles over the course of 2019 and early 2020 including “Road With No Lines”, a bluesy track “My Heart is Bleeding” along with his debut single, “Closer.”  Other recently released tracks include “Kiss The Night” which premiered on Billboard, “We’ll See” which premiered on The Boot and “Prospector” which premiered on Sounds Like Nashville.  Mayes has been featured on the Spotify editorial playlists, "Breakout Country," "Fresh Finds: Country," & “New Music Nashville.”  “Closer” has received airplay from Country radio stations across the US and the music video was included as part of CMT’s “Next Up Now” series.     Episode 69 - CJ Solar

    Colt and David sit down with singer/songwriter CJ Solar.  A native of Baton Rouge and a Belmont University graduate, Solar has penned No. 1 hits with Morgan Wallen’s “Up Down” and Jameson Rodgers’ “Some Girls.” He also co-wrote Jason Aldean’s “I Don’t Drink Anymore,” Justin Moore’s “Between You & Me,” Jerrod Niemann’s “The Regulars,” and more.     Episode 67 - JD Groover

    Colt and David sit down with music publisher JD Groover.   The Kingsland, Georgia native got his start in the music scene by running the Tifton, Georgia music venue, The Gin.  In 2014, Groover worked as tour manager for Jon Langston and has been critical in the success of Langston’s singles and signing with Kerri Edwards at KP Entertainment.  In 2018, Groover signed on with Sea Gayle Music as the Creative Director.  While rising through the ranks at Sea Gayle for the past seven years, Groover established a new management firm, 1221 Artist Management while still continuing in his current position at Sea Gayle Music.     Episode 65 - Cale Dodds

    Colt and David sit down with singer/songwriter Cale Dodds.  A Georgia native, Dodds moved to Nashville in 2011 and immediately hit the road, touring with artists such as Sam Hunt, Brett Eldredge, Billy Currington, and Chase Rice. Before signing his first major label deal with Warner Music Nashville, he independently racked up more than 30 million streams. After making a splash in the Nashville songwriting community with the single, “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial” by A Thousand Horses, Dodds penned his first, two-week No. 1 with “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen” for Chase Rice featuring Florida Georgia Line. Dodds, who has been writing songs since the age of 12,  has also had a hand in writing songs for film and TV, as well as writing for other artists such as Cassadee Pope, Filmore, Lit and many more.
