#21: Pride, Coming Out & Finding Your People

This Pride Month, Twin Spin gets personal. In one of our most meaningful episodes yet, Adrian and Andrew open up about their own long road to coming out and then pass the mic to three incredible guests who share their own stories of self-discovery, chosen family, and what it really means to live authentically. Joining us this episode are Pedro Guerrero, Paige Shano, and Zia Varajon — three queer voices with three very different journeys. Together we talk about coming out across cultures and generations, the intersection of religion and queerness, what Pride Month really means right now, and what we'd all tell our younger selves if we could. This one's for everyone who's ever been afraid to take up space. We see you. Pedro Guerrero is a Lima, Peru-born, Chicago-based creative who builds spaces where people feel seen, celebrated, and connected through art, culture, and collective joy. He uses music, movement, storytelling, and community-building to honor Latino and queer identities and believes that joy is not a luxury, it's a form of resilience and resistance. Paige is an autistic and genderqueer artist, hairstylist, and intuitive tarot reader. As a queer and trans affirming hairstylist, Paige finds joy in working within their community to bring out authentic and confident energy from those they work with. They are dedicated to sharing resources, exploring curiosity, and helping others find their playful side. Zia Varajon is a Chicago-based trans performer and the author of Love, Your Trans Big Sister: Advice on the Transfeminine Journey. Her work centers authenticity with a playful edge. With a background in music, modeling, and drag, she's built a voice that's bold and rooted in a colorful lived experience — on stage and on the page. #20: How Slowing Down Changed Everything For Us

Twin Spin is back for Season 3 — and we're starting exactly where we need to: by slowing down. In this episode, Adrian and Andrew reflect on everything that's shifted since Season 2 wrapped: a new apartment, a new decade on the horizon, and a loss in the family that served as a quiet reminder that nothing is guaranteed. Out of all of it came one idea that kept rising to the surface: you have to slow down in order to speed up. We talk about what it actually looks like to unplug, not as a productivity hack, but as a way of remembering what matters. Morning walks without your phone. Waking up to birds instead of notifications. Sitting by the lake and letting life just be life for a minute. We also get into quality over quantity: in your creative output, your commitments, and who gets access to your time and energy. And we close out with a brand new segment, Spin the Hot Seat, where our producer Raj throws questions at us we've never seen before: the songs that make us feel unstoppable, our guiltiest TV pleasures, dream trips we haven't taken yet, and the moments we're most proud of. Season 3 is about showing up with more intention. This is the episode that sets that tone.BE SURE TO KEEP UP WITH US:Website: https://www.nunotwins.coAdrian's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adrianthenunotwinAndrew's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/andrewthenunotwinFacebook: http://www.facebook.com/thenunotwins TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@nunotwins
