Claud gives a brief recap of the episode for Bird and then they discuss Hollywood versus real life, what is the SART process really like. Where are the advocates?     STORY 17: BLUSHING B's

    It has been a minute y'all but we are back -in this episode, STORY 17: BLUSHING B's, the B is for Brides!  Yep that is right, we are both brides, one of us for the first time and the other it's her second go 'round, but we are chatting all about it. We have been consumed by weddings, we are either getting married or being a Maid of Honor, and so we wanted to chat all about it with you. Listen as ClaudBee shares about her second wedding, "second" marriage, and the beauty of recommitting to your relationship, meanwhile Bird is still making plans for her upcoming June wedding. It's been a busy month for both, so we sit down to chat about all the things going on in life.  We get a little distracted as per usual, we are joined by some puppy ASMR, and as it is SAAM (Sexual Assault Awareness Month), we wrap it all up by chatting about Denim Day with an invitation to join us in sharing your own reason for wearing denim in support of survivors.     STORY 16: MANIFEST YOUR LIFE, B!

    In this story, ClaudBee and Bird are joined by their dear friend Lupe whom they've both known for years now, having worked together as advocates and case managers for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Which is to say, Lupe knows them pretty well and it shows! For the past couple of years Lupe has been on a very intentional path to leading a happier more fulfilled and purposeful life, and that includes things like thinking and living positively, manifesting, and envisioning the life she wants via vision boarding. And she's coming on to teach us a little about each of these things! Basically, we asked her to give us a bit of a crash course on vision boarding for dummies, cuz we B's don't really know much about it. Lupe makes it all really easy to understand and to see that anyone can really implement these types of practices into their lives, you don't have to be any type of expert to do it. We are envisioning a great 2019, join us!

    STORY 15: TRAUMA INFORMED HEALING Y BRUJERIA WITH ARACELY & EBONY, PART 2

    Part 2 with Aracely and Ebony is here! We are wrapping up this two part story with healers and trauma informed yoga instructors Aracely and Ebony.Aracely is a healer and trauma informed yoga instructor and Ebony is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a trauma informed yoga instructor. Through their own practices they have learned a lot about healing and they are here to share some of that knowledge with us. In this second part of Story 15, we discuss Mercury in retrograde (what is it even?!), indigenous and ancestral healing, and the consequences of the gentrification and commodification of those, crystals as computers, healing through your senses, the aesthetics of healing crystals, starter crystals, 3 quick things you can do to center yourself, and limpias, and then we wrap that all up with a fire limpia!     STORY 15: TRAUMA INFORMED HEALING Y BRUJERIA WITH ARACELY & EBONY, PART 1

    After a few weeks on a holiday and Winter cold hiatus, we are back! And appropriately we bring you a Story that’s all about healing. In this Story, Claud and Bird are joined by their friends, Aracely and Ebony. Aracely is a healer and trauma informed yoga instructor and Ebony is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a trauma informed yoga instructor. Through their own practices they have learned a lot about healing and they are here to share some of that knowledge with us. We discuss many forms of trauma informed healing modalities including talk therapy, yoga, meditation, healing your chakras, breathwork and even some brujeria. In this first part of a two part story, we discuss how trauma manifests and is held in the body, as well as things like Epigenetics, the ACES study, trauma and fertility and healing your sacral chakra.     STORY 12: TATTOO STORIES; HEALING THROUGH INK feat. Virginia Garcia, survivor and advocate

    In this Story ClaudBee and Bird are joined by Virginia "Virgie" Garcia who is not only a survivor of domestic violence and an advocate as well, but she is also currently part of INK: STORIES ON SKIN, an art exhibit featured at Long Beach's Museum of Latin American Art on the history of tattoo's, tattooing, and the stories told by tattoo's. As part of the exhibit Virgie was recently tattooed live at MOLAA by the talented artist Kari Barba. She shares all about this experience, the process, and the connection between DV Survivors, tattooing and healing through this art form.
