    Episode 9: Two INFJs in a Pod - Exploring the Mind of an INFJ 🧐

    8 episodes in and we’re finally talking about what being an introvert is like, specifically, how we as INFJ-Ts think and act. As we discuss this rare personality type, we not only discover a lot of new things about ourselves but also realize the commonalities between INFJs and other personality types, even extroverts. Deep conversations with meaningful connections, constant imaginations that often lead to a deadend, overthinking and mindreading are just a few of the many unique characteristics that we as INFJs embody. Truthfully, learning more about how and why we operate the way we do fascinates and slightly scares us at the same time.     Episode 8: What it Takes to be a True BFF 💕

    What comes to mind when you think of a best friend? As a continuation of our friendship episode, we ask ourselves what makes a best friend a true best friend. We dive deep into what we believe are important values and love languages in a best friend, and on a high level, reflect on how our love languages may shift over time and vary across different types of relationships. The best friend we see in our siblings can look very different and make us feel different than a non-familial best friend. There’s a special bond we value with siblings that we can’t quite replicate with a non-familial best friend.     Beauty standards can be harmful as they create an unattainable and unrealistic ideal that negatively impacts people's self-perception. In this episode, we discuss how both Asian and Western beauty standards have affected our lives and caused personal insecurities about our bodies. We share our journey towards self-acceptance and appreciation of our unique beauty, both internally and externally, as we break free from unrealistic beauty standards. Additionally, we offer insights on how we use makeup, skincare, fashion, and other means to enhance our confidence and celebrate our individuality. UPDATE: NEW SCHEDULE!     In this podcast, we take a deep dive into two important concepts: "lonely vs alone" and "happiness vs joy." We start by exploring the difference between feeling lonely and being alone, which are often used interchangeably but have distinct meanings. We share our personal experiences with coping with loneliness and finding comfort in being alone. Next, we delve into the nuanced differences between happiness and joy. While happiness is often fleeting, joy is a deeper sense of contentment and fulfillment that can be cultivated through various practices. As we try to define these concepts for ourselves, we discuss how we prioritize happiness and joy in our own lives and what sparks joy for us.     Episode 5: Learning how to deal with imposter syndrome through self-love and self-care

    NOBODY’S PERFECT..! 🎶 Sometimes, we have to channel that Hannah Montana’s mindset of embracing our imperfections while learning to love ourselves more. Self love is a concept that has personally taken us a long time to understand and nurture. More specifically, we’re still on the journey of cultivating that gentle, patient, and loving inner voice. As introverts who naturally prioritize pleasing others, it can be difficult for us to not only advocate and seek validation for ourselves, but to also overcome low-self esteem that often prevents us from feeling good enough.     Love is not an easy topic to discuss and a lot of times, we get lost in the meaning of genuine love and compassion in not just relationships with others but also with ourselves.  As a big fan of Jay Shetty, it was so exciting for us to attend the Jay Shetty Love Rule’s show and gain a deeper understanding on what love truly means in different parts of our life. We left the show feeling incredibly inspired, enlightened, energized, empowered, and connected with one of the most important people ever, ourselves! As introverts, we only have so much mental energy to spend with other people on a regular basis, making it even more important for us to reflect on the value of every friendship we have. To us, friendships are closely tied to our personal values and goals. Therefore as we unpack the meaning of friendship, we also get to learn more about ourselves in ways that we couldn’t. In the process of developing or discovering new hobbies, we can often feel unmotivated, purposeless, insecure, or all of the above as we try to meet societal or familial expectations but through it all, we tend to forget to satisfy the most important person, ourselves! On top of that, our fixed mindset of always hitting certain grades or metrics from school and the workforce can be our biggest enemy of what we love doing.
