    12. Outlander 8.05 "Send For The Devil" Recap

We’ve officially hit the midpoint and this episode is a mix of tension, tenderness and a few “oh GOD” moments that had us clutching our metaphorical Ellen McKenzie pearls. Jamie. In. A. Kilt. That’s it. That’s the highlight. Jamie thriving under pressure as peak Jamie is another. The character arc for Roger Mac: Chefs kiss. And god, the Ardsmuir men and their loyalty. No words. Lizzy is serving early-season Outlander with her basket, woollen shrug and general angel energy too. J’adore. Bonniest.  Then there’s the loose ends. This episode is doing some serious connective work and we’re into it. Claire & Jamie finally acknowledging that truth about both Buck’s parents. Bree & William bond more over their mutual and complex dad situation. Roger meets William, Denzel meets Roger, Denzel re-meets William, it’s basically historical speed dating. Threads are tying people - it’s making our Claire very happy indeed.  Aaron Whitaker reappears - literally from the bushes - he flags Cunningham, and there’s this heavy, quiet dread that settles in. No sweeping romance, no dramatic battle cries, just that familiar feeling of impending loss. Claire saying goodbye to Jamie (again 💔) hits differently this time. There’s more predictions, a new Listener Love segment called The Ridge and just a whole lotta gratitude for the characters we love so much. Not to mention our collective denial that we’ve officially tipped past halfway.  Come chat with us and share your theories!  As always, we welcome your theories. 11. Outlander 8.04 "Muskets, Liberty, and Sauerkraut" Recap

Episode 4 has us deep in it this week - layered, emotional and quietly setting up some big moves. We’re asking who can we actually trust right now? Because between Amaranthus (🚩 sorry, we said it), the Cunningham energy and secrets being shared a little too freely, well, things feel shaky. And when William opens up about being a bastard. Frankly we're concerned about who he’s telling and what that might mean. We are officially Elsbeth fans. She is intriguing, perceptive, and gives absolutely nothing away. The bark-for-bark exchange with Claire (slippery elm vs Jesuit bark) is iconic, and the way she sees Fanny so clearly - “she’s a remarkable child” - stand up MVP behaviour. Also Brianna and William. That reunion scene. Awkward, raw, perfect. Sophie Skelton is playing Bree with such grounded maturity this season - she’s gentle, measured, and the way she reminds William of who his family is. Heaven. Plus Lord John extending that invite. Yes please, more please.  Meanwhile Roger is off on his own chaotic side quest trying to secure guns in Savannah, which lands him in a full-blown Continental army camp unable to leave while Jamie’s past in warfare is starting to ripple into the present.  Fergus lovers assemble because he might just be the son of Comte St Germain and about to receive a huge inheritance: oh hi generational wealth and land deals for a French colony. The Beauchamp name popping up again is intriguing - there's layers, there's implications. There's history and drama. And there's Marsali just quietly loving him for exactly who he is. As always.  We also touch on Buck MacKenzie popping back in, Ian and Rachel, Fanny and the ongoing mystery of Frank’s book. What was his actual motive? Help? Hinder? Something in between? Come debrief with us. Find us on IG @twoweelassies Tell us what are your predictions for the final season?!
