Speakers: Dr. Sunil Malla Bujar Barua is an Endocrinologist and Breast specialist in Bhangagarh, Guwahati and is currently associated with UHC Clinic and Apollo Hospital. He has been working with transgender community in Assam and has gained recognition for his trans* and queer affirming service. Arundhati worked as a SAFE and Advocacy youth leader with The YP Foundation. She has a Master's in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University and is currently volunteering with Official Humans of Queer Foundation. Speakers: Sapna Kedia works as an Assistant Director- Gender and Social Development at the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW), Asia Office. At ICRW, Sapna leads and supports research and programs on the issues of men and masculinities, sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender, governance and public policy. She works closely with regional, national and global stakeholders to conduct research, run programs and organize consultations around these issues. She is also a founding member of the Women in Global Health (WGH), India Chapter and works in collaboration with other chapters across the globe. Siddhant is a feminist researcher. They are interested in exploring the intersections of gender, masculinities, and digital rights. At TYPF, they were part of the Mardon Wali Baat programme and engaged with young men and boys in the present feminist discourse. She is also a technical advisor at National Network of Sex Workers (NNSW). Krishanu is a trans and neurodivergent person. Both these aspects take up a huge part of how Krishanu negotiates her daily existence. Krishanu works as a Research Assistant at IIT Delhi. She has completed her M.A. in Sociology from Ambedkar University Delhi. Her current area of work looks at “Launda Naach” which is a caste based cultural performance embedded in the context of Bihar. She has also worked in the SRHR space, primarily engaging with the access to safe abortions for the sex workers community. She is a former ⁠Safe Abortion for Everyone⁠ Fellow at The YP Foundation. Initiating "My Vagina, My Rights" at 19, she created an online platform focused on stigma-free information. Currently working on 'Project UNcensored Assam,' she aims to provide digital SRHR knowledge in Assamese. With four years of experience, Ragini collaborates with youth organizations, implements SRHR programs, and is a USAID Momentum India-Yash Fellow. Pursuing a postgraduate degree in Public Policy, she is committed to enhancing adolescent-responsive health systems, health literacy, and building strong multi-sectoral partnerships. Nayla Khwaja graduated from AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia in 2021. She's been working with numerous organisations in the roles of media coordinator, communication consultant and also as an independent journalist. Devika Jayan is a researcher and writer. Vinitha Jayaprakashan works in the Safe Abortion for Everyone (SAFE) programme at TYPF that focuses on conducting evidence-based research and capacitating young individuals in abortion rights advocacy. She is part of several international and national networks, and has extensive experience in abortion advocacy.
