Invaluable source
All I can say to the people of Ukraine after listening to this episode is that I am ashamed to be American today.
Excellent interview with journalist Olga Tokariuk on the Maidan
Journalist and scholar Olga Tokariuk gives a great first hand account of the developments in the Maidan protests, the brutal repression from the Yanukovych regime that led to the eventual revolution against him, and the Russian invasion that followed. I’ve heard many good episodes from this podcast, often dealing with very current events in Ukraine. A good one to keep in your favorites list and check in on frequently.
I wish that more people who listen to Jacobin would also listen to Ukraine Without Hype
Great podcast on Ukraine and the Ukrainian Left.
