Amazing work!
As an English speaker it is very easy to stay informed about daily progress of the war, and fairly easy to find content about Ukrainian history. The part that’s missing for us is.. everything else! This podcast helps to understand present day Ukraine by hearing what Ukrainians are thinking, writing, and talking about. The moderators have wonderful questions and I love their tradition of having guests introduce themselves.
Really important Ukrainian perspectives
Maksym and the crew are providing the world a crucial public service with this podcast.
I don’t know what its going to take to get more people to see Russia as just another European colonial empire but telling the truth and sharing stories about it is one way to start.
I may be an American but I have a Ukrainian last name. I can’t tell you how many times I’d introduce myself to people, tell them my name and they’d say, “What kind of name is that, Russian?”
It’s time to decolonize Ukraine. Ukraine must win. It’s also time to decolonize our mental picture of Russia (and the Soviet Union) as well.
Everybody around the world should listen to this show and do what they can to help.
