    Taking a Podcast Pause: Self-Care

I initially had thoughts of failure when I decided to take a break, but now I see it as an act of self-love. We all should have joy, laughter and creativity in our lives! I share how I’m working on getting back in balance, and I pose questions for you to reflect on to assess where you’re at. Thank you SO MUCH for being a listener! I am gr

Amazing and great energy

This is the podcast I listen to when things around me feel too much, and I need to re-center and connect. I feel so connected to this podcast. Patricia (the host) has such a wonderful way of wording. And interacting with others. it has been so beneficial in my healing process.

Death by kayak

I thought I was the only person who’s tombstone would read “killed by thinking about buying a used kayak...”!

I cannot say how serendipitous it felt to find this. I choose it because not two months ago I ended a SIX MONTH struggle with the decision to buy a used kayak, and in hindsight, the ludicrous humor inherent in that decision can make me smile.

But .... in listening to you, I heard words that resonate deep inside my soul, and if I am honest, I still feel a great deal of shame and pain around many of the deeper issues you spoke about (catasrophizing, guilt about “deserving” joy, “all or nothing” thinking, childhood emotional neglect...)

Currently, I am struggling with the looming decision to move back to Colorado from New England... and it is a time sensitive choice because of my children’s school schedule. This podcast feels like a life raft in a Hurricane right now. Thank you.
