Pray Strength And Humility Over Your Son

Becoming a warrior has nothing to do with chasing violence and everything to do with becoming strong enough to protect what matters while staying under control. I’m taking Jordan Peterson’s “warrior in a garden” idea and bringing it home for Christian dads who want to lead with confidence, humility, and real faith, not ego or passivity. If you’ve felt the pressure of raising boys in a culture that keeps selling them a cheaper story of masculinity, this is your reset. We get practical about what a true warrior looks like: present and humble. We name the two extremes that try to disciple our sons, the dominant obnoxious version that never apologizes and the passive bystander who avoids the fight. Then we talk about a surprising picture of disciplined strength through Bruce Lee’s “be water” mindset, not weak and not rigid, adaptable with purpose. From there, I walk through a framework you can actually use tonight. You’ll hear the seven marks of a godly warrior: watchfulness, steadiness, tenderness, brotherhood, resilience, sacrifice, and blessing. Then I give you clear prayer prompts, “battle lines” to pray over your son, including legacy, boldness, wisdom, identity, perseverance, integrity, purity, discipline, the armor of God, and courage, the ignition switch that makes the rest possible. If you want a simple way to cover your son in prayer and build spiritual strength that lasts, press play. Subscribe, share this with a dad who needs it, and leave a review with the one battle line you’re choosing to pray first.

    Become His Apprentice

If you’ve ever looked up and realized your faith is real but your daily life still feels untouched, this one is for you. We’re talking straight to dads who want more than “trying harder” and more than knowing Bible facts. The goal is apprenticeship: getting close enough to Jesus that your character, your reactions, and your leadership start to change in ordinary moments like stress, conflict, and exhaustion. We break down three clear aims of a Jesus-centered life: be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do as Jesus did. Then we move from concept to a practical path with an 89-day challenge built for men who need structure. You’ll hear exactly how to protect 30 minutes a day for gospel reading, structured prayer, written notes, and stillness, plus why “present, not perfect” is the only way this works long term. We also talk about creating a rule of life, finding an accountability partner, and building a small brotherhood that asks honest questions and refuses the fragile solo-Christian routine. We map out a simple Bible reading plan through the four gospels (Mark, Luke, John, and Matthew) and explain how to read as an observer who is watching Jesus, not as a student chasing information. That shift makes the Scriptures practical again, because it trains you to ask: How does Jesus handle pressure? Who does he stop for? What does he do when interrupted? And how do I carry that into my home so my kids can actually see faith at work? Grab the resources, take up the challenge, and don’t do it alone. Subscribe, share this with a dad who needs a reset, and leave a review so more men can find the path from believer to apprentice.

Stop Playing Church And Start Following Jesus

Fan. Groupie. Band member. Those three labels sound harmless until you hold them up to Jesus’ actual words and realize they describe three very different kinds of “Christianity.” We go straight at the uncomfortable question: am I just a fan of Jesus, am I chasing the church vibe like a groupie, or am I truly in the band as a disciple who lives with Jesus and for Jesus? We dig into the ancient rabbi and apprentice model and the line that sticks with you all day: “May you be covered in the dust of your rabbi.” That is the picture of proximity, following so closely that His priorities, character, and obedience rub off on us. From there, we talk about the five words we’ve watered down over time: follow me, go make disciples. Following is not a weekend activity. It is movement, surrender, change, and a daily decision to keep walking. Then we get real about sin and spiritual growth. Every believer struggles, but when we stay close to Christ, sin starts to feel heavier, not lighter. Conviction is not condemnation, it can be evidence that God is still shaping us. Finally, we bring it to the house for dads: our kids are not mainly formed by what we say, they’re formed by who we follow. They’re catching our dust, so whose dust is on us: Jesus’ or stress, anger, ego, distraction, compromise? If you’re ready for a reset and a more practical Part Two (including a simple 89-day path), press play, then subscribe, share this with a dad who needs it, and leave a review. Where do you think you’re landing right now: fan, groupie, or in the band?
