Todd Leopold of Leopold Bros., Steve "Bert" Berthel, New Holland's Pub Brewer, and Matt Pond join us to talk about the farmer to producer relationship, which somehow ends in a Distilling 101 course given by the incredibly gracious Todd Leopold. A wonderful show with two of the loveliest folks in distilling and brewing today. Enjoy!

Jason Kosmas and Simon Ford - Co-Founders, The 86 co. & Carlos E. Esquivel G. - CEO of PILSA (Fine Rums of Panama)

I think we know each other well enough by now. I shouldn't have to apologize for how, uhmmm, "lit up" we are when we record shows with spirits producers, anymore. So, let's not do that...

The rum show! As always, we have more fun than we should. We talk about a lot of things, but mainly, The 86 Co.'s 3 year Caña Brava, their latest release, Caña Brava 7 year, and we touch on the sugar cane worker controversy with The 86 Co.'s rum producer, Carlos.

Such a great group! The usual... We talk beer, whiskey, farming, foraging, and lots of laughs. Enjoy!

Dean molien ,

Frustrating.

I must concur with the reviews below. The host seems to interrupt the guests of the show just as they are on the cusp saying something interesting. It is a very impressive list of guests, and very unfortunate that the interviews are not allowed to breathe. I don't understand the need for multiple co-hosts who rarely add anything to the dialogue (and some who could be subjects for interview themselves). For some reason (the long length?) this particular podcast always has trouble loading and playing continuously without stopping or skipping to the next episode. The "hard rock" theme music. And so on...

Potential

This podcast has potential only because they are able to get great breweries to talk about their beer. However, every time the brewer says something, the annoying female host talks over them and steps over herself constantly. I'm so bummed out by this.

Has potential

Drunk girls and a talking don't mix! I really wish these girls would stay on topic, the cackling is entirely way too much. They will start talking about something and then interrupt themselves to go on to something else that is not even relevant to the prior conversation. It's annoying as hell listening to these girls try to do a radio show, you want to listen to a really good show, go download all of the brewing network podcasts if you want real information! "BN" for life!!
