A near future podcast about life aboard the underwater research station Amphitrite featuring deep sea scholars, love, oblique literature references, and chaotic neutral kraken.
Introducing Me and AU
Coming June 11 from the Procyon Podcast Network. Me and AU is a full cast LGBT+ audio romance about love, friendship, fandom, TV shows of questionable quality and growing up.
All Kate Cunningham wants to do this summer is watch her new favourite TV show, Selkirk, write fanfic about her new favourite TV show, Selkirk, and think as little about the future as possible. But a new online friendship with a fellow fic writer might disrupt at least one of those plans...
Content Notes: This podcast includes strong language, smoking and occasional discussions of drug use and violence.

10: The Crash That Ends the Night
[Warning: strong language]
Send chicken soup. SO MUCH CHICKEN SOUP.
9: The Old Man Under the Sea
[Sent: Sept 12, 2017]
About that offer to stay in your guest room...I have a different request instead. Think you could help me figure out a high-pressure recipe for honey apple cake?
8: The Beach House of Asterion
Things have been rough for everyone on the station lately, but a little more so for some. At least I was able to be there for someone when they needed me -- did my best impression of you.
7: In the Dark of the Trench
[UNDELIVERABLE: NO INTERNET CONNECTION]
Not currently dead, though that could be up in the air (as it were). If you receive this, then at least we got the internet reconnected!
6: Canyon's Brawl
I can understand immaturity from the station's doctor, but to get it from the captain as well is a surprise. I've never empathized quite so much with a hockey puck before.

This is a super interesting and definitely well done podcast. The narrator is a little frustrating because she’s only ever talking about how terrified of everything she is (even though she volunteered to come down here) - but her interactions with other characters are great!! When she isn’t listing her fears I love how she actually analyzes the effects of living under the sea and you get some nice fun facts in there as well!! I hope there’s more coming soon!!!
While this didn’t consume me with passion for the audio medium, it’s still a good podcast! It starts out a liiiitle rough but it shapes up nicely. Less of a survival space opera (underwater) type drama like I expected, and more of an interpersonal drama! I still like it though, and the end of season conclusion was very interesting! If a season two was in the works I’d love to listen!
Not great but worth a listen
I’m down for anything ocean related and yay for lesbian characters, but the story wasn’t as developed as it should have been and the voice acting of the main character is distractingly bad. Not too bad, but probably wouldn’t listen to season 2 unless big changes were made.
