UNspoiled! Strange & Norrell

Watched the show when it first came out and loved it! It was great to listen to them talk about the show and give their views on it. Great job guys! Highly recommend.

Childermass' actor was also seen in last season's GOT as Yezzan. I think Segundus and Honeyfoot believed Mr Norrell's claim to be a tolerable, practical magician because from what they have witnessed in Hurtfew. From what I recall, the halls leading to the library were ever changing and a bit confusing like a maze. They couldn't remember any of the books title or authors they've seen. Also, I have to agree with Natasha regarding Sir Walter Pole's view of Mr Norrell being a practical magician since magic was known to have existed 300 years ago. I believe Sir Pole and the gentlemen of York society just think of magic now (book now which was 1807) as trickery or act and not at all respectable. Norrell's true intention is to have the people of England believe in such respectable magic and not help win the war against France. Anyway, yay for podcasting Jon Strange and Norrell! Can't wait for next episode. :D

I’ve been a fan of Natasha’s “Game of Thrones” podcast so I decided to try this podcast because I love this mini-series and I’ve seen it several times. Your podcast only suffered the same limitations as most American critics: [1] you tended to discount minor characters in the first episode; in British series, the minor characters always show up again because they are there for a reason. [2] You tend to judge UK actors based on their US work (hence the Benedict Cumberbatch remarks); UK actors always have a vast body of work in their own countries before they cross the pond to make more money. [3]You didn’t pay attention to the names of the characters in the initial episode. However, you quickly got over this and each podcast got better and better. I was horrified when you read the criticisms of that crazy woman (people are horrible on the Internet). This is a very good companion podcast to the Lost-Hope podcast. Keep watching more great stuff from the BBC and miss you on the Game of Thrones.
