Unveiling the Beast

Kaitie Entrikin

Hey guys! I'm Kaitie, and I am on a mission to help humans become the BEST versions of themselves, and to unveil what I like to call the Beautiful Beast that already lives inside us all. I have had the privilege to talk to all kinds of different humans who have been through a plethora (I love big words); a myriad of experiences, just being a human and existing. We talk about parenthood, business, life goals, health, fertility, fear... All the beautiful and the ugly. My hope is that you leave each episode with at least ONE nugget of wisdom or a tool you can apply to your own life.

202 Your Job Is a Relationship. Is It a Healthy One?

What's up, you Beautiful Beasts! Welcome back to the show! In this episode, I sit down with April Morgan for a conversation about something we don’t always think of as a relationship: our jobs. We talk about what happens when work becomes part of our identity, why leaving a job can genuinely feel like a breakup, and how a change in leadership can completely change a place you once loved. April shares how losing her dad inspired her to look differently at the relationships we build at work, how grief and major life changes affected the way she showed up in her own career, and what happened when she finally realized a workplace she loved no longer fit who she was. We also get into entrepreneurship, taking scary-ass leaps without sacrificing the people who matter to us, giving ourselves grace when we are not our best selves, and why being human should probably be a bigger part of Human Resources. Oh, and we discover that April and I share a deep appreciation for the versatility of the word “f*ck,” so obviously this was meant to be. As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something tugs at your heart strings and/or I hope you laugh. About April April Morgan is the Vice President of People Operations at IWC Innovations, co-founder of Elevate People Ops LLC, speaker, and author of Married to the Job: Work Isn't a Job...It's a Relationship. With more than 20 years of experience in human resources, leadership, compliance, safety, and organizational development, April is passionate about helping organizations build thriving workplace cultures where people and performance grow together. 201 What If Your Body Remembers What Your Mind Forgot?

What's up, you Beautiful Beasts! Welcome back to the show! In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Kris Belfry for a conversation about the connection between our emotions, our bodies, and the patterns we can carry without even realizing they are there. Kris shares how his work evolved from focusing primarily on the physical body to becoming curious about why some people seemed to get better while others kept struggling, and how that curiosity eventually led him deeper into stress, emotions, old experiences, and self-awareness. We talk about why familiar does not always mean healthy, how something uncomfortable can still feel “safe” simply because it is what we know, and how many of our reactions happen on autopilot before we ever stop to question them. We also get into emotional eating, relationships, parenting, stepping outside our comfort zones, and one of my favorite things ever: awareness creates choice. Sometimes the first step toward changing a pattern is simply stopping long enough to ask, “Why am I doing this?”  As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something tugs at your heart strings and/or I hope you laugh. About Kris Dr. Kris Belfry has spent years trying to figure out why people stay stuck, even when they desperately want to change. As an embodiment coach and former chiropractor who's studied 20+ body-based healing techniques, he found the answer nobody was talking about: the pattern isn't in your head, it's in your body. Today he helps high-achieving men and women break the loops that keep showing up no matter what they try, same relationships, same ceiling, same self-sabotage by working at the root level where real change actually happens. This is one of those conversations that might just shift something in you.  Connect with Kris! 200 Who the Hell Am I Now?

What's up, you Beautiful Beasts! Welcome back to the show! In this episode, I sit down with my friend David Cleveland for a conversation about what happens when the version of your life you built no longer fits the person you are becoming. We talk about identity, purpose, failure, forgiveness, getting older, changing direction, and why reaching the thing you thought you were supposed to want doesn’t always make you feel fulfilled. David shares what it was like raising four daughters as a single father, eventually becoming an empty nester, and realizing he had to figure out who he was outside of the roles and responsibilities that had defined him for decades. We also get into why “just change your mindset” is such oversimplified advice, why failure is not always failure, and how some of the hardest things we go through can completely change the way we see ourselves and other people. And because neither of us knows how to stay on one topic, we somehow end up talking about caregiving, relationships, forgiveness, mortality, and the fact that coaches are still whole-ass humans figuring their own shit out too.  As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something tugs at your heart strings and/or I hope you laugh. About David Dave Cleveland is a craftsman, artist, father, grandfather, and lifelong student of what helps people truly flourish. After navigating the identity shifts of midlife, an empty nest, and career burnout, he returned to his original calling: helping others find clarity, purpose, and renewed direction. As the founder of LifeFullosophy, Dave is dedicated to helping people become the best version of themselves by cultivating the well-being of mind, body, and spirit. His work is grounded in a deep desire to honor the Creator through a purpose-driven life and to encourage others to live with greater clarity, health, and meaning. 199 She Was Functioning, But She Didn’t Feel Alive

What's up, you Beautiful Beasts! Welcome back to the show! In this episode, I sit down with Shelley Kitching for an honest conversation about depression, identity, authenticity, and what it means to find yourself after spending years trying to be who everyone else wanted you to be. Shelley shares what it was like to live with depression for decades, the moment she realized the way she was coping was no longer enough, and how reconnecting with her spiritual side became a missing piece in her healing. We talk about the exhaustion of worrying what everyone else thinks, the difference between being sad and slipping back into depression, how awareness gives us more choice, and why rest does not have to come with guilt. This episode is a reminder that healing does not mean you never struggle again. Sometimes it means noticing sooner, choosing differently, and slowly building a life that actually feels like yours.  As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something tugs at your heart strings and/or I hope you laugh. About Shelley Shelley Kitching is a certified Soul Realignment® practitioner, Akashic guide, life coach, soul coach, international speaker, and mental health advocate. After living through decades of depression, she began exploring spirituality as a missing piece in her own healing and eventually founded Soul’s Direction. 198 The Real Glow-Up Is Emotional

What's up, you Beautiful Beasts! Welcome back to the show! In this episode, I sit down with my longtime friend Tygen Tofel, which means we have decades of history, questionable decisions, and plenty of stories to unpack. We revisit a moment from our 20s that hurt both of us and, for the first time, really look at what was happening underneath it from both sides. We talk about people pleasing, emotional immaturity, boundaries, learning from the s****y things we have done without deciding we are s****y people, and what it feels like to finally feel safe being yourself. We also get into body acceptance, raising kids differently than we were raised, why other people’s opinions don’t deserve control over our lives, and yes, one particularly unhinged story involving combat boots, a trench coat, and a used feminine hygiene product. 😂 This episode is messy, funny, vulnerable, and very human, because growing up is not about pretending we never screwed up. It is about being willing to look back, understand ourselves better, and choose differently now.  As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something tugs at your heart strings and/or I hope you laugh. About Tygen Hi, I’m Tygen! Through my work at Eve & Elm Photography, I’ve learned that the most beautiful photos don't come from posing or perfection—they come when you finally feel safe enough to just breathe and be yourself. Whether I’m documenting the quiet, messy beauty of motherhood or holding space for a boudoir session, my mission is simple: to make sure you feel truly seen, exactly as you are, without a hint of judgment. When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually speaking up about the things we’re often told to keep quiet. I’m deeply passionate about calling out the shame I’ve seen in religious spaces around our bodies, and I’m tired of the "health advice" that ignores the real, lived experiences of women—especially when it comes to the frustration of managing conditions like PCOS and the misinformation often spread by people who haven't walked a day in our shoes. My heart is to help you stop apologizing for your body, reclaim your health story, and find the kind of freedom that starts from within.  Connect with Tygen! 197 She Built Armor Around Her Heart Until She Couldn't Feel

What's up, you Beautiful Beasts! Welcome back to the show! In this episode, I sit down with Teresa Phillips for a deeply personal conversation about trauma, self-love, boundaries, forgiveness, and learning how to trust yourself again. Teresa shares pieces of her story, including tremendous loss, abuse, panic attacks, and years of building her life around everyone else before realizing something had to change. We talk about the “armor” we sometimes build to protect ourselves, how shutting out pain can also shut out joy, and why putting yourself first is not the same thing as abandoning the people you love. Teresa also walks us through the four pieces of her Framework of the Self: self-love, self-respect, self-confidence, and self-appreciation. This conversation is a reminder that healing does not mean you never struggle again. Sometimes it means learning how to meet yourself differently when you do. As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something tugs at your heart strings and/or I hope you laugh. About Teresa Phillips Teresa is a speaker, podcaster and musician that found her way out of trauma using a process that she created called The Framework Of The Self. This four step process teaches self-love, self-respect, self confidence and self-appreciation and has helped heal her. Connect with Teresa! 196 The Masks We Wear Until We Forget Who We Are

What's up, you Beautiful Beasts! Welcome back to the show! In this episode, I sit down with Heather Zimmerman for a conversation about healing, identity, and what it means to come home to yourself after trauma. Heather shares her journey through abuse, addiction, and feeling disconnected from who she really was, and how those experiences ultimately led her toward a life of helping others heal. We talk about inner child work, identity, boundaries, empathy, self-love, and why so many of us spend years living behind protective masks we don't even realize we're wearing. Whether your path to healing is rooted in psychology, spirituality, or simply getting curious about yourself, this conversation is an invitation to notice the stories you've been carrying and ask whether they're still serving you.  As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something tugs at your heart strings and/or I hope you laugh. Bio: Heather Zimmerman is the founder of Divine Ascension Co., where she blends psychology, behavioral science, and spirituality to support empaths and highly sensitive people on their healing journeys. 195 What If Everything You've Been Taught About Weight Is Wrong?

What's up, you Beautiful Beasts! Welcome back to the show! In this episode, I sit down with Paula D. Atkinson for a conversation that challenges some of the biggest beliefs we've been taught about health, weight, and our bodies. We talk about body liberation, diet culture, eating disorders, Health at Every Size, the history of BMI, and why so many of us have learned to distrust the very bodies that have been trying to protect us all along. Paula shares her own journey from childhood body shame to nearly starving herself in pursuit of thinness, and why she now believes healing starts by reconnecting with your body instead of fighting against it. Whether you agree with everything we discuss or not, I hope this episode leaves you curious enough to question the stories you've been told, and maybe even listen to your own body a little more closely.  As always, I hope something lands with you today. I hope something tugs at your heart strings and/or I hope you laugh. About Paula  Paula D.
