Great podcast
I don’t miss a episode. Very informative about the Iowa Cubs and baseball in general
Colorful stories from the Iowa Cubs
I am thrilled to live across the street fro Principal Park in Des Moines, Iowa the home of the Chicago Cubs Triple AAA affiliate. The stories so far in this series are so far all ones I personally have some knowledge of. Baseball is like church because many attend, but few understand. I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I was 10 years old when the Boston Braves moved to Milwaukee. I was fortunate to attend the very first game played in Milwaukee County Stadium and many more including two World Series of which the Braves won one. What a thrill. I also witnessed one of only two no hitters I have seen in person when Jim Wilson hurled one on June 12, 1954. It was fifty years later that I saw another in person when Jamie Arnold three one against us. These podcasts preserve much Iowa Cubs and other related baseball stories. Let’s hope these recordings are preserved for a very long time.
Talking Baseball
I really enjoy this podcast so far. I’ve listened to the first three episodes. It’s funny, informative, and a great listen. It’s about baseball, but much more. The stories, the people, the behind the scenes you never knew about. This podcast is definitely worth your time.
