Up, Up, and Away!

I just finished listening to the entire run of this podcast. I was sad to see no new episodes in quite a while. I hope this jiatus ends soon and this podcast comes back sooner then later.

The Superman Richard Donner Cut audio commentary is the first episode I decided to sample well this commentary does not really add anything other than the fact this is a Superman show now I have downloaded every episode to listen to other episodes to give the show a fair chance but the audio commentary has lots of dead air like sadly lots of fan audio commentary there is nothing here no preparation seem to go into it I mean I’m just very disappointed lots of dead air no information no antidotes nothing but random rambling after long stretches of dead air silence

I just discovered this podcast, although it's been in existence for a while now. I've listened to the first 10 episodes and I'm quite impressed with young Mr. Bennese. He has a passion for the character of Superman that is obvious from his first episode, and I enjoy that immensely. His first several episodes deal with the various re-tellings and revisions of Superman's origin story from the first brief telling in Action Comics #1 in 1938, up through various comics, movie and radio serials, feature films, TV shows, both live action and animated, up to contemporary comic stories. Once past those initial episodes, he takes on more general topics, including his response to "fanboys" who complain that Superman is lame or irrelevant, and a discussion of the origin and development of Superman's foe Mxyzptlk. He also includes in each episode a summary and review of one of the old Max Fleischer Superman shorts, which are fun to hear, and usually ends each episode with a quote by or about Superman. I look forward to listening to more episodes and wish Mr. Bennese well.

I really enjoy hearing Mario and his love and enthusiasm for the character. He's thoughtfully covered a multitude of superman subjects, and I always look forward to the next episode.
