Upward & Inward

Mitch and Kristen Krebs

We share our hearts behind each of the songs we have written as well as speak on our experiences as worship leaders. Our hope is the same here on this podcast as it is with our music; and that is to point people upward and inward as we explore the nuances of faith and devotion to the way of Jesus.

The Good, The Bad & The Cringey Pt.2 - Exiled

A force of countless abilities (one being able to drink 16+ cups of coffee a day) Tom is the most go-getter and unstoppable machine of a man we have ever met. This episode can't convey the fullness of all Tom Boscamp embodies. "Constrained" is the word that comes to mind when we think of the limitation of what an audio podcast could deliver. Of what really felt like a decade, Tom was our mentor and worship pastor for two years. Two years may seem insignificant, but if you throw two naive seventeen year olds into a stewing cauldron of purity culture, authoritarian leadership, religious/emotional abuse, hushed conversations and crazy amounts more, you get an interesting soup served. When Tom stepped into frame, he became a shelter and even a guard in some aspects by way of experiencing firsthand what we could have.  In this final episode of this series' first installment, we get to hear Tom's experience from his perspective which brings out memories for us a long the way during the interview. We're thankful that there is hope and a beautiful silver lining interwoven in Tom's story that he was able to see.  Tom works closely with U.S. Veterans as the Veterans Service Coordinator at Coastline Community College and is often somewhat of an emotional first responder to them as you'll hear. Contact him at tboscamp@coastline.edu if you have any questions or know of a veteran in need.  Here's some of his tracks from back in the day.  https://soundcloud.com/thomas-boscamp Connect with us! https://linktr.ee/mitchandkristenmusic Listen to and share God of Grace. https://open.spotify.com/track/5kwOrPTbA3MOzgPixLbMFu?si=cd6673cba48b4b15
