Show Notes - Season 3 Episode One - Venus Retrograde in Leo 2023 **Understanding the Venus Retrograde Cycle (1:00 - 3:30)** - Venus stations retrograde roughly every 18 months over an eight-year period, forming a five-pointed star pattern in the sky. - Venus retrograde provides an opportunity to explore unseen aspects of Venus and undergo an inner journey.**Pre-Shadow Period and Themes of the Retrograde (3:30 - 6:13)** - The pre-shadow period began on June 19, offering a preview of the upcoming retrograde themes. - The three phases of the retrograde are the pre-shadow (preview), the retrograde (active period), and the post-shadow (review and cleanup).- People with planets in fixed signs (Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio) between 12 and 28 degrees will be strongly affected, as well as those with Taurus and Libra-ruled houses in their chart. **What Venus Represents (6:13 - 10:31)** - Venus rules values, money, love, relationships, women+, beauty, arts, and the exchange of energy with others.- Venus is associated with the heart chakra and represents the harmonious balance and beauty in life. - A Venus retrograde can be an opportunity to reassess our values, relationships, and finances. **Leo Attributes and Potential Pitfalls (10:31 - 13:52)** - Leo is associated with creativity, playfulness, joy, drama, royalty, and being seen. - Unhealthy Leo traits may include craving attention, self-absorption, drama, or manipulation for approval. **Exploring Shame and Self-Love (13:52 - 17:33)** - During the retrograde, one may encounter obstacles to self-love and areas where they feel unworthy of love or validation. - Shame can lead to an implosion of positive energy, hindering the ability to radiate warmth and self-acceptance. - Looking back at past experiences of growth and self-confidence can help overcome self-doubt. **Nurturing the Positive Leo Archetypes (17:33 - 19:23)** - Positive Leo traits include warmth, generosity, creativity, and being a source of light for others. - Healthy Leo energy fosters genuine connections, while unhealthy aspects may involve seeking external validation. **Navigating Relationships During the Retrograde (19:23 - 22:13)** - In relationships, be aware of the potential for manipulation or emotional demands due to insecurity. - The retrograde can prompt reassessment and deeper understanding of relationship dynamics. **Embracing the Underworld Journey (22:13 - 25:18)** - The retrograde journey can be likened to the Persephone myth, with themes of descent and renewal. - Embrace the cyclical nature of life and transformation during the Venus retrograde. - Utilize this period for introspection and growth, understanding that challenges can lead to evolution. - Reconnecting with people from the past may be significant during this period. Between the Self and Others: Episode 31 - Astrological Events of Mar 22 - 29 2021

Moving from the depths of Pisces to the spark of Aries can be confusing, like being exhausted and exhilarated at the same time. With two planets (the Sun and Venus) freshly moved into fiery Aries, we feel the urge to push forward into the new with initiatory zeal. While the potential for emergence feels exciting, the path forward may not be entirely clear. Mercury, the planet that rules our thinking, is still lost in a Piscean fog. There will be frustrations and frayed tempers over unclear communication and misunderstandings. We are cautioned to be mindful of our words all week; don’t let impatience overtake you! On the Full Moon in Libra this coming Sunday, relationships are drawn into the spotlight, showing us that we can create healthy boundaries without running roughshod. There are opportunities for developing autonomy and building toward a better future, but we need to be aware of how we are treating others and maintain flexibility as the path unfolds. We are in the last bits of the balsamic period for the entire year. Before we move into the invigorating energy of rebirth and springtime, take a final swim in the watery depths of Pisces. This is an opportunity to shed calcified and imposed identities we have been carrying. This week we can release the weight of the past and the parts of ourselves we don’t wish to carry forward with forgiveness and compassion. The renewed authenticity you find in the space of letting go is the seed you will plant and nurture throughout the coming year. This is a chance to reinvent and reinvest in ourselves. It’s a time of extraordinary sensitivity and raw potential as we sit poised between form and formlessness. We are bridging the past and the future. Transitions are never easy, so be gentle with yourself and everyone around you. Next week we hit the ground running - be sure you are rested and ready. Going With the Flow: Episode 29 - Astrological Events of Mar 8 - 15 2021

The earlier part of the week is bound to be more productive. A multiplicity of ideas and options may have you doing things twice (or more) as you continue to receive insight that informs your decision making process. As the New Moon moves into position in Pisces mid-week, it will join the Sun, Venus and Neptune. At this time we are encouraged to participate in the radical act of nonproductivity. View this as an opportunity to rest and be still, checking in with your intuition. Emotional and intuitive sensitivities will be high. Allow yourself to feel into situations and investigate with your gut. Listen to what your feelings are telling you. The skies are calling us to surrender to the flow in order to broaden our horizons. The planets are providing us with ample fruit to dream into the next phases of our lives. The best way to work with these energies is to let go of the edges of things, remembering that rest and relaxation are part of the process. Embrace the dreamtime to vision into the future. Correction: Moon in Aries sextiles Saturn in Aquarius on SUNDAY, March 14th at 11:57am PST, which is our elected time to start New Moon rituals - not Saturday.  :)  Apologies. Course Correction: Episode 28 - Astrological Events of Mar 1 - 8 2021

Working with an exalted Venus in Pisces offers the grace to find workarounds, forgiveness and the beauty in embracing life as it is. A sense of ease and flow returns. There is peace and acceptance in seeing things as they are, instead of how we wanted them to be. As we look to the recent past, we are able to see where we needed to reconfigure and adjust our perceptions - and yes, even identify where we may have been wrong. Accepting and admitting former errors allows us to advance unfettered. Ideas for successful movement forward are available in abundance. Adaptability and patience are the watchwords as we adjust to this gentle course correction. This week has the potential to reorient our lives to true north, helping us get back on the path to a brighter future.
