Award-winning producer Phil Grabsky joins the show to discuss his new film My Childhood, My Country: Twenty Years in Afghanistan. Phil talks about the continuing story of Mir the young man who he has tacked since he was a little boy growing up in Afghanistan. Phil's film, which just won best international film at the DC International Film Festival, traces Mir growing up under occupation and the strength, resilience, and commitment that is typical of the Afghan people. We get to see what life has been like through the eyes of MIR and we also get to hear Phil reflect on Afghanistan, the role of Nato/US, the comparisons to Ukraine/Russia.
