    Joe Cannon is a multi talented musician who's been cranking away for over 30 years through multiple projects. The band he's been fronting now for some years is Resurrectionists, who I've been hearing about for a couple of years now. Great band who have a great new album out called Double EP, because(you guessed it!) it's two EPs on one vinyl album. Great material and a great entry point for new fans to experience a bit of most of what they do with their music.     Here's a wonderful conversation with a guy who doesn't do interviews very often, nor do I personally know of him doing any other long form interview. So this was a great opportunity to speak with Scott Levesque of Wheat, whom I've been a fan of for a very long time. Wheat was certainly more of a pop band, and I don't usually get to speak with many pop acts, but Scott is an exception to this not only because I'm a fan, but also because Wheat was never just a pop act. They have always had this weirdness to their music that may have been part in why they were never able to break big in the music biz. But with enough sensibilities to rub elbows with some of the greatest acts of their era like The Flaming Lips and more importantly, the topic of discussion today, Red Red Meat and their seminal album Bunny Gets Paid.     Do you know Rainer Fronz? In some way you probably do, but it's the plight of the person behind the curtain that few people ever seem to see or notice the efforts of a guy like Rainer. As it is for most record label owners. Fans notice the artists and albums a label puts out more than the guy that's making it happen. Sometimes that's just the way they want it to be. And it's my opinion that only after having had this short conversation with him, he seems to be the type that isn't looking for credit. Knowing you're doing good work and bring joy into people's lives is all one should need in this world, and that's the way I see Rainer. So why have this conversation? Well, for a few of reasons. First, the dude owns Learning Curve Records which has been putting out great music from bands like Hey Colossus, Bronson Arm, Intercourse, Bummer, Gay Witch Abortion, Vaz and even The Hold Steady for the past 25 years.     What can be said about Bob Bert that hasn't already been said? The dude is legendary! So I jumped at the opportunity to speak with him, being an artist and musician who, by design or not, has gone on to influence a wide group of people himself. So to be able to pick his mind, even a little, about the perspective of influence of music on a creative person and ultimately discussing an album that was incredibly important to his own development was thrilling. And I think I got some new insights into The New York Dolls album as well as Bob's own process, particularly on his upcoming debut solo release, Beach Bongo Bloodbath, being released by Bar None Records 06/12/26.     V&V Ep. 136 Claudio Marcio(PILGRIMS) & Los Prisioneros' Corazones

    Today's guest is Claudio Marcio. One half of the creative force behind Boston via Chilé's  ⁨@PilgrimsBandOfficial⁩  . They fuse a synth driven, dark wave, post punk cocktail holding onto some of their heritage singing with a mix of English and Spanish lyrics. Their new album, Gemini was released in February and is available now on all formats here: https://pilgrimsbandofficial.bandcamp.com/album/gemini This is a deep discussion with Claudio going all the way back to his young days growing up in Columbia during the chaotic Escobar cartel days, moving to Chilé shortly after a dismantled dictatorship, finding love for music and ultimately moving to Boston to establish a strong musical career. This whole discussion revolves around the topic of the album Corazones by Los Prisioneros. Los Prisioneros was one of the most popular and successful bands from Chilé during the early 80's through 90's.
