MARTYRS’ WIDOWS: “Until We Die, We Will Serve Christ”
This week we continue our conversation with Semse Aydin and Gracia Burnham. Both women are widows whose husbands were killed serving in front-line ministry work. Both have experienced God’s faithfulness since, and both consider their suffering for Christ an honor.
Necati & Semse Aydin were expecting a baby. Would they continue advancing the gospel in Turkey, risking more persecution? Or would they choose a safer path? Together, Necati & Semse decided: they would continue boldly in their Christian work.
MARTYRS’ WIDOWS: God Takes Special Care
Gracia Burnham was a missionary in the Philippines with her husband, Martin. They were taken hostage by an Islamist group. Martin was killed, leaving Gracia to raise three children alone. But she's not alone; God has been with her.
Semse Aydin also experienced the loss of a husband. Necati was murdered with two other Christian men in Malatya, Turkey in 2007. The couple had two children.
These women have stories of pain and loss; but God has written a different story, one of joy, forgiveness & provision.
If We Don’t Share Christ With Muslims, Who Will?
Tom & JoAnn Doyle are back to finish our conversation about how Jesus is reaching women across the Middle East—including amazing stories of God’s work in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria and other nations.
Tom & JoAnn say these Christian women are committed to following Christ no matter the persecution, even the risk of their lives. They are bold witnesses for Christ; often the greatest initial impact their witness has is on their husbands.
The Doyles say Muslims are incredibly open to hearing the Good Ne

Muslim Women Finding Jesus
Tom & JoAnn Doyle share stories of Jesus reaching women across the Middle East—amazing stories of God’s work in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria & other nations.
Their book, "Women Who Risk: Secret Agents for Jesus in the Muslim World," tells of Muslim women coming to faith in Christ, then becoming "secret agents" for His Kingdom—transforming their families, friends & even entire nations.
The Bible's teachings about women are much different from Islam. Muslim women respond when they see how God loves wo
IRAN: New President, More Persecution
Dr. Mike Ansari is President of Heart4Iran, working to reach Iranian people with the gospel of Christ. He’ll explain what the inauguration of Ebrahim Raisi as president of Iran means for persecuted Christians and religious freedom.

Much Heavenly Food
Pro 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
Gal 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
Jas 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
I have often said that “I would like for the spiritual warfare to be more evident and apparent here in the United States as it is in other countries. I would like to serve our Lord with fervency where there is blatant opposition to him or, rather than in a place, as the United States, where that everything is excepted, and blessing is seen in substance.” However, to hear the testimonies of the brother from throughout the world, I realize, through the Voice Of The Martyrs Radio, that instead of allowing the grass on the other side of the fence to look greener, I am called to the kingdom for such a time as this, and that my temptations and trials are just as specific to me is the call of God on my life for where I am in whatever time or location I live. Thank you VOM radio for helping me to sharpen my steel and to be pleased with my portion. I have heard that India has more gods than any other nation. I believe that the United States has topped that with self ambition. I am here to pray for my people and yours, and to believe for whoever you are, and if my testimony for Christ be not perfect, your testimony helps me to become more like Christ.
2 Chronicles 16 verse 9 says: “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.” I heard the founder of the Australian VOM render it this way: “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whom He can help.”In Matthew chapter 5 verse 3 Jesus says: “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” What God counts as rich is because that we know that we are poor without Him. We need Him, and we share this common thread in the body of Christ. I will persevere, because I hear you persevering; and, this is reflexive. 1Peter 5 verse 9 says: “Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” I need the Lord, and I am strengthened to hear your dependence upon Him through the testimonies on VOM Radio. In
Ephesians chapter 1 verses 15 through 17, Paul says that he ceases not to give thanks for the testimonies of the love of the brethren, so that through his prayers of thankfulness they receive wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. It is wonderful to know how God works through prayer. I believe his word, but when I hear your testimony, his Holy Spirit speaks to me that I got to help you through prayer in His heart, as well as strengthen the whole Body through my perseverance of my personal trials, and be strengthened through your perseverance in your personal trials. You may not know me, but I know you, and I get to help even though you don’t know me.
I Praise The Lord, Todd, for you forgiving yourself to the anointing of his Holy Spirit, because you ask such specific questions that help to feed and support the whole Body. Thank you VOM Radio for being the connecting point between my Brothers in Christ throughout the world and myself. I am very thankful to be able to pray with you and for all of those who you have on your program while I listen. You help me to pray for my Brothers and Sisters, and to be honest with who I am in the Lord. I am needy of Him with whom we have to do, and I need you. Without you, I would not know the joy, as deeply, of praying for the Brethren.
Thank you! I Bless you in the Name of Jesus Christ.
I love you.
Richly blessed my Christian walk
The Lord has used this podcast to truly help me appreciate and know the depths of His grace. As a young adult getting to hear these incredible stories of godly men and woman who gave their life for Christ just encouraged me in my walk. It helped me to see the urgency of sharing the gospel in the little time that we are given here on this earth and to do so without fear of death because we have the eternal hope of Jesus Christ.
