Let's Help Each Other Out: Some Positive ADHD Tips

Let's Help Each Other Out: Some Positive ADHD Tips

Hi Everyone, today's episode is going to be a short list of some tips for working with your ADHD that have helped me. I wanted to share them with you to provide a further support and positivity. Like I will mention in the episode, we are all at different places in our lives. You don't have to use all of these tips, you don't have to use any of them if they don't suit you. We all grow at our own pace and have to find what works best for you.

Mentioned in the episode is the quote of the day. It is as follows:

As human beings, our job in life is to help people realize how rare and valuable each one of us really is, that each of us has something no one else has-or ever will have-something inside that is unique to all time. It is our job to encourage each other to discover that uniqueness and provide ways of developing its expression. –Fred Rogers (Mister Rogers)

From the Inside Out: What does ADHD Look Like?

From the Inside Out: What does ADHD Look Like?

Hi Everyone! Welcome back to the podcast! In the second episode we're going to be looking at what ADHD looks like as a list of diagnostic criteria.

Please note that the information for this episode comes from the book "Driven to Distraction" by Dr. Edward Hallowell. Both "Driven to Distraction" and his follow up book "Delivered from Distraction" are very good books for understanding the ins and outs of ADHD.

In the future I will be doing a short review of each book so that I can show you the ways in which these books have helped me understand my own ADHD.

As always if you have questions, comments, or constructive criticism, please contact me at wwadhd223@gmail.com.

Is this a pilot episode? Story Time!

Is this a pilot episode? Story Time!

Hi everyone! My name is Paige and this is the first episode of Wait, What?, an ADHD podcast! The first episode is nothing technical, I just wanted to take the time to share with you my own personal story regarding my life with ADHD. I think that when we share our stories it helps others in similar situations relate and feel less alone in their struggles. We could all use a little more support, understanding, and positivity in our lives. :)

If you'd like to leave me a comment, ask a question, or provide constructive criticism, you can reach me at wwadhd223@gmail.com. Also note going forward that my goal is to post a new episode every week to two weeks. If I get enough interest in the podcast I will also be creating a Facebook page in order to reach out to others in the ADHD community.

As always thanks for listening! I hope you enjoy!!
