The one morning newscast to listen to
I’ve tried lots of different daily news podcasts and none of them compare to JJL and Wake Up Call. Many of them simply read the news and while you get a flavor for the news of the day, it’s often just the headlines. I love that JJL injects personality w/o obvious bias into the news and asks the questions the average person might ask as well. Laila Muhammad is also great when she fills in. This is the only news podcast that brings in reporters and experts from other news organizations, getting beyond the headline and talking to the folks closer to the ground. Yes, there are some LA focused stories, but for the most part you get the national and world news that matters w/ better insight.
Love it Slow it down
Love it! Listening from Hawaiian BUTT !!
It is podcasting way too fast . No way to slow down. It plays at extreme speed. Can’t understand a thing that’s being said, and this happens a lot. Who’s recording it to podcast???
High speed reporting
Absolutely love the show but it went into overdrive playback speed today, again. Please fix. Impossible to listen to at this speed and get anything but annoyance out of it.
