Episode #203 | Eight Years In & Still Underway.

Eight years ago, Alison Gieschen and her husband — a merchant marine — made a deliberate decision most people never will. They planned a ten-year circumnavigation of the world and committed to it. Not on a whim. On purpose. In this episode, Alison joins me from a friend’s boat in Bora Bora — her own Wi-Fi wasn’t cooperating, and instead of forcing it, she chose not to intrude on the show. That alone tells you a lot about who she is. We talk about what life underway actually looks like — not the romantic highlight-reel version. From the reality that there’s no such thing as downtime on a boat, to one-hour dinghy rides and five-mile walks just to get groceries, to sailing through COVID when they could keep moving but no ports would let them in. We get into being stuck in Ireland with the pubs closed, why the sailing community is as tight as it is, her favorite place so far — the Corinth Canal — and the hardest places they’ve been and why. Alison also shares why documenting the journey through blogs and books matters, her love of scuba diving (including an upcoming trip diving with sharks), and yes… why she wanted a chicken as a pet — with a diaper — and why her husband shut that idea down immediately. This conversation isn’t about escape. It’s about commitment, discipline, and perspective earned mile by mile. Still underway. 🎙️ DOME DUMP: Fall — My Second Favorite F-Word

Caffeine’s flowing, sarcasm’s loaded, and we’re diving headfirst into Fall — my second favorite F-word. Talking Halloween chaos, calling out bathroom bandits at the gym (yeah, that crime scene I saw this morning), and setting the record straight — ladies, you’re not immune. I worked in bars for years... y’all can turn a restroom into a full-blown disaster movie faster than a drunk guy chasing karaoke glory. So buckle up, Be Raw Nation — it’s another unfiltered ride through the madness. Dressing up has roots older than we think, dating back to ancient festivals like Samhain, when people wore masks to protect themselves from wandering spirits. Over time, it evolved into what we know today — a night where identity, imagination, and rebellion all collide. Halloween costumes let us become the version of ourselves we don’t always show. The brave, the twisted, the funny, the free. Whether it’s superheroes, monsters, or some sarcastic middle finger to normal life, what we wear says something about who we are — or who we wish we could be for a night. Behind the makeup and masks, it’s still about connection — laughter, stories, and the reminder that pretending can sometimes reveal the truth.

    #197 - That’s the Only One I Got

Brains came in swinging with insults, savage humor, and one of the coldest lines I’ve ever heard. We lit each other up, laughed until we were crying, and even got into the big “what if” — like losing an inch off our dicks every time we told a racist or rude joke. Yeah, you read that right. Raw, unfiltered, hilarious chaos from start to finish. 🎥 Watch the full episode + more on The Tube → YouTube.com/@BeRawPodcast 🎙️ Or catch it all at → https://berawpodcast.com/  Catch Aaron - https://www.instagram.com/ihadtosayitpodcast/?hl=en  ✦ Sponsors: Live Rishi – natural CBD relief: https://liverishi.com/ HighSpeed Daddy – tactical parenting gear:https://www.highspeeddaddy.com/?rfsn=7178368.317ce6 #BeRawNation #BuiltNotBought #PodcastTruth #NoNotesNoMercy Stand-up comedy has always been more than just jokes on a stage — it’s a mirror for society. From smoky clubs to packed theaters, comedy has been the one place where people can say the things everyone else is afraid to admit. It’s raw, it’s risky, and it’s honest. The best stand-up comedians take real life — the pain, the absurdity, the awkwardness — and flip it into laughter. That’s why comedy keeps coming back stronger, even when the world tries to cancel it or tame it. Audiences crave the truth, and comedians deliver it in a way that cuts through the noise. This episode with Brains taps right into that. The art of stand-up isn’t just about punchlines — it’s about timing, courage, and being willing to take the hit if the room doesn’t laugh. It’s storytelling with teeth. It’s where vulnerability and savagery meet on stage. Whether you’re a die-hard comedy fan or just someone who needs to laugh at the chaos of life, this conversation proves the scene is alive, well, and ready to burn brighter than ever.
