Golden Daze

Golden Daze (spelled Dazed, like the iconic 1993 slacker classic Dazed and Confused) is the only podcast you need if you’re a Golden State Warriors fan who actually wants to understand what’s really going on with the team. I started listening to Cyrus Saatsaz when he hosted Locked On Warriors. He eventually left because of “creative differences.” In reality, those differences were Cyrus refusing to become a media puppet who spews propaganda just to earn the right to ask softball questions of players and coaches. Cyrus brings up the uncomfortable conversations, and he’s often forward thinking about what is going on with the Warriors, often way ahead of Legacy Media. He’s the one who finally persuaded me that Steve Kerr has to go as head coach and has probably already squandered t the Warriors at least one more ring. If you disagree, I challenge you to listen to a few episodes. Sure, Cyrus is definitely voceiferous (warning: yelling may occur), but he refuses to let people get away with ad hominem attacks or lazy logical fallacies. Even better, he’ll actually let you come on the air and make your point. If you truly take issue with him, show up and defend your position. It will certainly be entertaining for those listening. For us Golden Dazers, listening to Cyrus after a game is either the best way to get over a brutal loss—usually because Kerr played “Sideshow Pods” too long—or a way to celebrate when these blind squirrels actually put one together. The shows, like this review, can go on forever, but I implore everyone to remain until the closing moments (for ratings) but —especially if Shardol shows up. Shardol is the show’s magnificently incognizant unoffical entertainment attache institutional comic-relief co-host extraordinaire. It’s idiosyncratic comedy at its best, and you’ll learn all kinds of personal information about him that your brain refuses to delete, even after repeated applications of Scotch. And as Shardol would say: I’m a big fan of Cyrus’ channel and content. Definitely subscribe. Also—Go Aztecs!

I am a big Warriors fan… Because of Steph Curry… I can’t watch most of the games.. So I listen to this show after games on YouTube… I appreciate the passion and insights… Sometimes it’s a bit argumentative but I get it.. Given not everyone shares the same opinions on basketball.. I appreciate the insight and the time so it doesn’t feel like you are just rushing to get another add in… Keep up the good fight… Just kidding but take it easy on Steph.. We’re all getting older and they depend on him for so much…. Anyway…love the show… …
