I love all the ghost stories. For some reason they are nice to hear but the episode, a fate worse than death, I cannot stomach. I lived in haunted houses when I lived with my parents but the suffering people experienced in war are hard to hear. I had to skip that one. That’s likely a thumbs up to the host for telling the story so well. Thanks for all you do! I’m glad you have a podcast, YouTube is not something I can always access.

I started listening because I loved Luke Lamana’s Redacted podcast. Great voice and dramatizations. An overall fantastic mix of war & weird. Well done!

This was an interesting episode. I was stationed at Camp Schwab from 2002 - 2003. I’m glad I never experienced any of this while I was there.

I’m sad this only gets updated weekly, ha. I know nothing of the military and am probably not the target audience, but I find his stories captivating. I have already listened to a few different versions of the story of Roy B. but Luke’s production of it was stellar. It was hard to wait for the next episode. In fact, I would prefer if stories are not broken up over weeks, which is his usual flow. There have been a few editing screw ups. One of the recent stories said it was “part two” but there was no other episode. Things like that. His MO has changed pretty significantly from sharing stories and speaking unscripted to what I would consider actual productions, with sound effects and voice actors. He is good at either, but I am missing my episode this week so he can promote a different Ballen show with a robot-sounding host, ugh!

I love the storytelling and interesting stories featured in the podcast! Very refreshing and very talented crew!

My boyfriend and I used to love this podcast when it was in Luke’s voice. Now with all of the different voices it just isn’t as good and it’s hard to know what’s going on half the time.

From places we shouldn’t be in. But were risking everything held dear. Giving health, limb and lives. No yard given without a fight. Realty is way weirder and harder than fiction.

In love with this show! Content is great and although, it’s a typical podcast the host had a neat way of presenting the information. He tells the story like he is the one there and witnessing it. It really, for me, lets my mind wander and create the imagery rather than just “hear” the story. Phenomenal job. Can’t wait to see what the future holds. One of the few podcasts where I wish the shows dropped faster! No pressure

I’m an Army veteran who’s also an Army brat. My dad served in the Army for 31 yrs (ret. SGM & mg little bro is a 1SG who’s almost at his 20 yr mark) & I’ve always always been a fan of Mr Ballen & got my brother into it & he got his battles into it. & now, I’m so so sooooo happy for this podcast. I wish more people knew some of the stories of our military service personnel. Thank you for making this podcast!!!! We’re all so proud of you … & alllll the veterans out there!!!
