Also, we sprinkled in some knowledge about cuisine that Sherlock probably doesn’t even know about - what kind?     Deltarune Ch1 - What Happens When We Try Voice ACTing

    🎒🦸💡 Today we discuss Deltarune Ch1, developed and published by Toby Fox. Deltarune is an RPG that subverts the usual violent tropes in a story about a kid’s first day at school named Kris. Kris and Susie, the class emo-bully, end up transported to the “DARK WORLD”, where they are the prophetic Lightners who have come to save the DARK WORLD from an evil King who has sprouted an evil fountain!(?)  🤜😈🏰 Violence, Bullies, and Fantasy all wrapped up in a kid’s first day at school - Deltarune Ch1 had us reliving and asking a lot of questions as we reflect on our first days at school! 👀▶️😭Join us as we discuss our thoughts and feelings on Deltarune Ch1, and let us know your thoughts and feelings as well while we Watch Play Cry together.

    A Plague Tale: Innocence - Hugo! Ah, he's Hugone

    Today we discuss A Plague Tale: Innocence, developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Home Interactive. A Plague Tale: Innocence is about a PLAGUE in 1348 France where Amicia de Rune embarks on a journey to save her brother Hugo de Rune from an unknown illness - the macula - that her mom was trying to protect him from before being murdered along with her father and their entire estate by the Inquisition. A timely game we played during our very own pandemic, A Plague Tale: Innocence had us wondering: Have our attitudes and approach towards illnesses changed much since the 1400s, and if so, how? Do we attach attributes to those who get sick today like we have historically? The only unambiguous question, though, is whether rats are gross. Yes they are.     We’re back! Today we discuss Not For Broadcast, an early access game developed by NotGames and published by tinyBuild. Set in a dystopian world, you as Alex must navigate putting together the nightly news live and decide how stories are framed and what to censor as events unfold in a series of satirical parody sketches of the news and topical events. Exploring the ethics of satire, censorship, all through gameplay featuring some of the most interesting (and sometimes funny) sketch-acts we’ve ever seen, Not For Broadcast asks us the questions we’ve been asking our own media: What would you do?     Today we discuss Little Nightmares, a 2.5D Side Scroller that features a protagonist in a yellow poncho, stuck on a boat where kids appear to be kidnapped to be turned into food for much larger, grotesque humanoids to devour. A fun, mysterious, and sometimes terrifying adventure, how did Little Nightmares manage to tell such a big story without any dialogue?     Life Is Strange Episode 5 - The B******t Sandwhich?

    Life is Strange is a narrative game following one High School Senior, Max Caulfield, who gains the ability to reverse time! But with this great power comes great…consequences for her actions. Max – and we – learn that sometimes the “right” choice isn’t always clear, and our choices affect the people around us despite our best intentions. Episode 5 wraps up the first series in a cataclysmic (and/or melancholic depending on your choice) finale. The episode doesn't hold its punches, whilst tackling themes of what it means to be an artist, what it takes to make a genuine apology, and what it takes to forgive others as well as yourself. Join us as we discuss our thoughts and feelings on this final episode of Life is Strange and let us know your thoughts and feelings as well while we Watch Play Cry together.
