Deltarune Ch1 - What Happens When We Try Voice ACTing

🎒🦸💡 Today we discuss Deltarune Ch1, developed and published by Toby Fox. Deltarune is an RPG that subverts the usual violent tropes in a story about a kid’s first day at school named Kris. Kris and Susie, the class emo-bully, end up transported to the “DARK WORLD”, where they are the prophetic Lightners who have come to save the DARK WORLD from an evil King who has sprouted an evil fountain!(?) 🤜😈🏰 Violence, Bullies, and Fantasy all wrapped up in a kid’s first day at school - Deltarune Ch1 had us reliving and asking a lot of questions as we reflect on our first days at school! 👀▶️😭Join us as we discuss our thoughts and feelings on Deltarune Ch1, and let us know your thoughts and feelings as well while we Watch Play Cry together.

A Plague Tale: Innocence - Hugo! Ah, he's Hugone

Today we discuss A Plague Tale: Innocence, developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Home Interactive. A Plague Tale: Innocence is about a PLAGUE in 1348 France where Amicia de Rune embarks on a journey to save her brother Hugo de Rune from an unknown illness - the macula - that her mom was trying to protect him from before being murdered along with her father and their entire estate by the Inquisition. A timely game we played during our very own pandemic, A Plague Tale: Innocence had us wondering: Have our attitudes and approach towards illnesses changed much since the 1400s, and if so, how? Do we attach attributes to those who get sick today like we have historically? The only unambiguous question, though, is whether rats are gross. Yes they are. A fun, mysterious, and sometimes terrifying adventure, how did Little Nightmares manage to tell such a big story without any dialogue? Life is Strange is a narrative game following one High School Senior, Max Caulfield, who gains the ability to reverse time! But with this great power comes great…consequences for her actions. Max – and we – learn that sometimes the “right” choice isn’t always clear, and our choices affect the people around us despite our best intentions. Episode 5 wraps up the first series in a cataclysmic (and/or melancholic depending on your choice) finale. The episode doesn't hold its punches, whilst tackling themes of what it means to be an artist, what it takes to make a genuine apology, and what it takes to forgive others as well as yourself.
