As Led Zeppelin toured the U.S. in 1970, it was Manning who masterfully mixed their seminal "Led Zeppelin III." Shortly after, a young Billy Gibbons soon sought Manning's expertise.     In the 1980s, there were three residential studios that were among the greatest the world has ever known - A.I.R. Montserrat, Le Studio, outside of Montreal, and Compass Point Studios in The Bahamas. These three incredible studios all had several things in common. They were all in idyllic and secluded locations. They all helped to create the music that defined an era. And they were all ultimately abandoned, with only the ghosts of the music and memories that were made there, echoing within their forgotten and decaying walls. In this - the second of two episodes - we tell the tale of Compass Point Studios and speak with Terry Manning, the man who ran it for almost 20 years, about some of the many artists who worked there, the music they made, and the shocking story of why it too became a ghost studio.     Van Halen were a band often criticised for not maintaining their legacy. In the last 25 years of their career they released just three studio albums. And they never put out any compilations of previously unreleased material (out-takes, demos, rarities, etc). But the fact is, a wealth of unreleased material exists online.
