This podcast was created by young people working with the Trust for Developing Communities, a Brighton and Hove-based charity working for a healthier, more inclusive, resilient Brighton & Hove. The podcast was developed in partnership with Make (Good) Trouble, a social enterprise that works with young people to give them a voice through digital media. Supported by the Brighton and Hove Violence Reduction Partnership.

    'We Ain't the Same' is a podcast series created by young people that explores the relationship between young people and the police. In this episode Sgt Emma Holiday, who trains Police Officers at Sussex Police, is interviewed by a local teenager. They explore issues relating to how police are recruited and trained and how more training on yuoth engagement could be supportive for effective policing.

They explore issues of how young people need support, not just punative responses, County Lines, and people's motivations to join the police.

    'We Ain't the Same' is a podcast series created by young people that explores the relationship between young people and the police.  In this episode PC Joe Davis, Neighbourhood Youth Officer at Sussex Police, is interviewed by a local teenager.  They explore issues of how young people view the police, what might be going in in young people's lives that means they end up having more interaction with the police, and how the George Floyd's death affected people's view of the police here in the UK.
