    8:30  In person: Gabriela Watson-Burkett Gabriela is a filmmaker, producer, and journalist based in Philadelphia with Peruvian roots and a Brazilian upbringing. She is the Founder, Executive Director, and Editor-In-Chief of Inti Media, a media organization dedicated to producing multilingual news and documentaries that inspire change. Gabriela has worked with WPVI-TV/6ABC, WHYY, and PhillyCAM. Her documentary Baobab Flowers won the Audience Award for Best Documentary Short at the 2017 BlackStar Film Festival.  Gabriela is a 2025 fellow of NAHJ’s Adelante Leadership Academy. Her accolades include the AL DIA News Women of Merit, the Leeway Transformation Award and Art and Change Grant, the IPMF Film Grant, the Lenfest Next Generation Fund, and the Philadelphia Independent Media Finishing Fund Grant.
