Scott Peterson Pt. 3 of 3

Scott Peterson Pt. 3 of 3

This month, Case Review Manager, Debra Fulton, has truly outdone herself. Tune in and listen as she dives into the Scott Peterson case. That’s right—one of America’s most hated men. If you believe what the media has dished out, listen closely; you may not believe your ears. The Murder Express has left the terminal with false evidence and tunnel vision riding in first-class, while due process and a fair trial have missed the locomotive altogether. It’s a runaway train, folks, and it’s quite possible that Scott could have been railroaded.

Because of the way the media reported this case, so many people refuse to even consider the possibility that he didn’t commit this crime. Listen with an open mind and you just might learn something new about this case! Who knows, perhaps you will change your mind altogether.

    February Preview

    February Preview

There will be no January episode; however, we will be airing a controversial February episode! All that we ask is that you put aside everything you’ve heard about the case, especially from the media, and ask yourself, what if Scott Peterson really IS innocent? There is no doubt that he may be unlikable, but we ask that listen to the episode with an open mind. You never know when something like this could happen to you or a loved one, so give the case the attention it deserves - without all the media embellishments.

    Adnan Syed, Part 2

    Adnan Syed, Part 2

Depending on where one stands, Adnan Syed is either guilty of murder or a victim of a justice system that has wrongly convicted and imprisoned him now for over half his life. Adnan was arrested at aged 17, denied bail, and was convicted of his ex-girlfriend's murder, Hae Min Lee, in 2000. In a new HBO docuseries, Adnan said that it was an ‘unstoppable force of sadness’ after Hae was murdered, and then he was arrested that February and charged. ‘It’s almost like there’s a flood outside your house, before you even come to terms with that, now there’s a fire inside your house,’ Adnan explains. How the jury managed to surpass “reasonable doubt” in this case is beyond belief. There are at least three viable suspects that could have murdered Hae—THREE! As you listen to Adnan’s case, see if you can rule any of them out.

Also, view photos/images from crime scenes and police evidence relevant to this episode at WrongfulConvictionsNews.com.

There are three ways to support Adnan: You can contribute any amount, once or as often as you’d like at Launchgood.com/FreeAdnan. You can become a monthly supporter for as little a dollar a month at patreon.com/freeadnan, where you’ll find bonus content related to the case. Sir William Blackstone said in 1765, “It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer“. Blackstone’s principle is a cornerstone of criminal law. That’s why we presume people to be innocent until proven guilty. John Adams expanded on that principle and predicted the state we are in now:

It is more important that innocence should be protected, than it is, that guilt be punished; for guilt and crimes are so frequent in this world, that all of them cannot be punished…. when innocence itself, is brought to the bar and condemned, especially to die, the subject will exclaim, ‘it is immaterial to me whether I behave well or ill, for virtue itself is no security.’ And if such a sentiment as this were to take hold in the mind of the subject that would be the end of all security whatsoever

It’s a tragedy that so much of our American justice system seems determined to thwart that principle these days. We are so intent on throwing people into jail that guilt or innocence doesn’t much matter.

Talking Lauren ,

Whispering

Aside from the content, which may be biased or may be for entertainment purposes (who cares? Everyone has their opinions on these cases and she’s sharing hers), it’s very hard to listen to these episodes. Host whispers into the microphone and at full volume in my vehicle, it can still be hard to hear.

It’s also very tough to stay invested in a series when the episodes are only posted monthly, especially when it’s a multi-part series on a single case. Three months to get 90 minutes on Scott Peterson is way too long to drag it out.

I appreciate shedding light on questionable convictions, I just wish the listening experience was better for these ones.

Biased reporting

Tried to give this show a listen, however the reporting is very biased. Not worth listening to if you can’t get the whole view of each case, which is what a jury is supposed to hear… all sides of a case. Very ironic that it’s called we the jury if the host is only willing to provide one small side of the story.

What’s with the bad reviews?

I don’t understand the bad reviews. It’s always important we listen to both sides. I do not think any of this is biased either though. The media spread a lot of lies about this case and it’s hard to believe that things you’ve thought to be true for years are actually just not true is hard. But in this case, we might have been wrong. And it’s time to find the truth. No one said that Scott is a good guy, I bet he would even say he is not. But there’s a chance he didn’t do it. I also didn’t think she was monotone at all, and I think the sound is totally fine. 5/5
