Ep. 07: Learning and living around the world

On today's episode, Zélie talks to Karen King who is from Australia and, before Covid-19, was living and learning around the world full time with her family. Currently she’s in lockdown in Panama, waiting to launch her travels once again.

Karen talks about house-sitting full-time, traveling minimally (on just 7kg or 15lbs for each person!), and living on a smaller budget while traveling than when they were living in Australia.

Ep. 06: Traveling as a single mom through Mexico

“I always wanted for my son to have sort of an epic childhood. I did not know what that meant…[but] I knew that homeschooling would be a part of that. But then I did not know how else it would be epic. But I knew that I wanted him to experience other cultures and see things a different way. And this was what happened.”

On today's episode, Zélie talks to Shonda Bradford who left New York with her five-year old son to travel through Mexico. She talks about traveling long term as a single mom as well as what it is like living and traveling through Mexico as a family of color as opposed to the United States.

Ep. 04: Reflections on family quarantine: An Australian nomadic family's return home after months in Bolivia

In this podcast we speak to Jacqui and Daniel New about their family quarantine experience during COVID-19 pandemic. The New family recently arrived back in Australia after being quarantined in Bolivia for almost two months.

    A nomadic family quarantine experience

Jacqui and Daniel have been world schoolers for the past four years. In a future episode, we'll dive into how and why they first sold everything and left Australia. But as COVID-19 is still impacting so many travelers around the world, we wanted to hear this tale of escape and resilience.

This family quarantine story offers reflections on returning home and what traveling in the future will look like for them.

Loved it!!

It was great, well put together. None of the poor sound quality many channels suffer through the first season. It pained a beautiful picture of life somewhere else!! Good for wanderlust as everyone is hunkered down. Can’t wait to hear more stories!!

Great show for those who wander

As a traveler myself (never as much as I'd like, but that's beside the point!), "We Will Wander" is off to a fantastic start introducing listeners to what it's like to live an idiosyncratic life abroad as a family.

Since they both live abroad themselves, hosts Zelie and Clint know what they're talking about, and there's no doubt in my mind that they'll be attracting some stellar and adventurous guests onto the show as the months go by. I look forward to future episodes and send my hopes for a long life for "We Will Wander". In the end, "all who wander are not lost."
