Coast Access Radio

The WEA (Workers’ Educational Association) setup in 1915, is the longest established provider of adult education in New Zealand. This Kapiti Coast branch of the WEA was started in 1978, and is a non-profit making incorporated society registered with the Charities Commission (CC28153), and a member of the Federation of WEAs in Aotearoa New Zealand. We promote ideals of a just, equitable and sustainable society through the medium of education.

    Kapiti WEA provides community based, stimulating and varied educational activities that develop knowledge, skills, creativity, understanding and enjoyment of life. Courses are offered in relaxed, non-threatening environments, using the best tutors available from Wellington and the Kapiti Coast. Kapiti WEA runs courses on a variety of subjects - ongoing education. Everyone is welcome to contact the organization to become a member, to enrol in a course, or to suggest courses or other activities.
