This is a weekly podcast where I interview and highlight the amazing work of web 3 artists (i.e., artists that create and sell their artwork on blockchains such as Ethereum, Polygon and Tezos). The purpose of the podcast is to enable people to discover and/or learn more about web 3 artists, their journey, art, process and inspiration. In doing so, artists may expand their audiences and listeners may feel inspired to start creating and minting art of their own. Every episode is recorded via a live Twitter Space where attendees have an opportunity to ask the guest artist questions. This is a very inclusive space welcoming artists of all nationalities, backgrounds and artistic styles. Whether they have a huge following or are just starting their career, all are welcome. Uadamen is a true creative force: a vocal artist, photographer, digital painter, musician, poet, and art collector. Through All Fly Studios, he channels his passion across mediums to create work that’s rich with symbolism and poetic meaning. His unique approach blends visual art with verse — pairing many of his digital paintings and photographs with original poems, which he mints as NFTs and offers as added utility to collectors. In our conversation, we explored Uadamen’s artistic journey and the many places that have shaped his perspective. Born in Costa Rica and raised in the United States, Erika's artistic journey is as diverse as her heritage.​ She pursued degrees in fine art, anthropology, and Spanish at Lawrence University, followed by studies at Parsons School of Design, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and the New York Film Academy. Her career includes roles as an art director for prominent brands like Martha Stewart Living, Tiffany & Co., and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. ​ A significant aspect of Erika's work involves her collaborations with the Hopi tribe, focusing on fine art photography that captures the essence of their culture and history. Additionally, she explores AI-assisted "post-photographic" artwork, blending traditional photography with cutting-edge technology to create unique visual experiences. Sierra is an accomplished artist and creative technologist, best known for her imaginative use of digital art and generative AI to illustrate the Black experience in the Americas, West Africa, and beyond. Her evocative works often explore wonder, nostalgia, introspection, and the intimacy of bonds within both born and chosen families. Beyond her independent arts practice, Juu Juu Mama has merged her talents in community organizing, advocacy, and the arts as the founder and chief curator of @itan_world. “Ìtàn” translates to “story” or “history” in Yoruba. After discovering her father's family descended from Yorubaland, West Africa (Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Cameroon), she became fascinated with its history, culture, music, and fashion. Since founding Ìtàn World in September 2023 to spotlight underrepresented West African artists, Juu Juu Mama has curated over 175 artists and counting from West Africa and of African descent into virtual and real world exhibitions. The style is often described as Mad Men Modern. Inspired by simple shapes, unusual color schemes, whimsical lines and pop art. During this great conversation, we explored the intersection of life, emotions, and abstract art. Ishita shared her journey, from her classical fine art training to creating vivid, bold abstracts that merge imagination with memory. We discussed the challenges she faced pursuing art in an Indian family, how she developed her unique style, and her creative process.
