Self-proclaimed comedians Ali Segel and Melissa Stetten discuss unsolved mysteries, creepy cults, paranormal experiences and everything in between. “They maintain a loose, upbeat dynamic as they fall down rabbit holes, which means listeners can comfortably dip their toes into the deeply unsettling and unexplained, but won’t walk away feeling, well, haunted.” (Vanity Fair, 2020) Support this show at http://supporter.acast.com/webcrawlers

    Cleveland Kidnappings

    Cleveland Kidnappings

Three girls between the ages of 14 and 21 vanished from Cleveland, Ohio between 2002 and 2004. Ten years later, Ariel Castro, a local school bus driver, was arrested for kidnapping Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry, and Gina DeJesus. The three women were held captive for over ten years and endured unspeakable torture. The scariest part is these women all knew their captor before he abducted and imprisoned them.
We've donated to Gina DeJesus's foundation Cleveland Missing- a center for missing children and adults: https://clevelandmissing.org

    Typhoid Mary

    Typhoid Mary

Mary Mallon was a cook who refused to stop working despite spreading Typhoid to numerous people. She was forcibly quarantined on a small island in New York for nearly three decades. Was Mary truly a dumb bitch spreading disease or was she unfairly targeted to make an example of?

I too crawl the Web

Crawl the Web with your Internet friends Melissa, Ali, and Maria. I started at the beginning of the pandemmy and I’m all caught up now! They’re my go-to mental distraction for when I’d rather not hear my own thoughts. Love these gals, they make me LOL during my commute, errand runs, and laundry days. La La Laaaaa.

I signed up for Discovery+ because of this podcast

This is the first podcast that has ever held my attention from beginning to end. I listen to Web Crawlers every morning while walking my puppy Bowie around the park before work and it’s been a real bright spot in my busy life. I love all the components of this pod- educational (Salem Witch Trials episode was awesome!), mystery, true crime, paranormal (Josh Groban elevator story and live seance were fascinating). I look forward to your episodes and wish you all good vibes and opportunities for your podcast in the future.

Your fan,

❤️ Steph
