I remember that Pizza Hut song!
I was at camp when I was a kid in the 80s/90s and sang that song. My only problem with Wednesday is when she uses terms like “mansplaining”. It would be like Christina Ricci using “rad” or “gnarly” in the 90s films. It is weird because Tim Burton is such a world builder, but this is a bit too much real world. Disappointing. It takes me out of the show. But what puts me into the show is Wednesday cutting a major rug to The Cramps’ “Goo Goo Muck”. Now, that’s television! But how can you like this show and not love bats? Please don’t encourage people to downgrade animals that help the ecosystem. Plus, they are super cute! Fester has always been goofy. You don’t remember the scene where he stuck straws in his nose to impress the murderess? He’s totally played for goofy laughs…not morbid at all.

I love the plot twists and the emotions
Fun Girls Constantly on Bummer Tangents
I like the girls, but I had a hard time getting through them starting out with extended complaining about race. Maybe if they started with their obvious enthusiasm about the fun subject matter, then moved on to the heavy stuff, it wouldn’t have been such a bummer. But they completely lost me when they went from that to complaining about Gomez not being a dashing lothario, when that character was originally, and is usually, a short, fat, creepy weirdo. No one has to research the history of everything they watch, but it is expected if you’re going to do a podcast about it.
