Week In Review

I love this show, but Lauryn (especially) is too uninformed to be in the panel. The discussion of CHOP and I-5 was painful. She was clearly missing facts about what happened and thus could add nothing to the conversation. It’s not helpful. Sure, maybe she was still in college and not in Seattle, but these things are still all over the news. I’m shocked she didn’t have some basic knowledge.

I have noticed this year 2 occasions where they sounded so conservative… I don’t always listen, but usually it was a lighthearted discussion. Now they applaud the displacement of unhoused people and let conservatives off the hook just for the sake of being polite! A political pon knows better than economists? Yeah! That executive order will decrease HOUSING FIRST - and no one is noting it. Why? It is better than Death First or Hospital First, which is more expensive. Update: “women will be thinking of having kids” what? You mean wanna-be parents. I am unsubscribing

I was floored the other week when Saul Gameron was allowed to deny the existence of trans people without being challenged by Bill or anyone else, defying the international scientific consensus on the issue. Especially while LGBTQ people are increasingly under attack. If a guest was on here denying that humans cause climate change, would you invite them back on the show? Please stop hosting bigoted political consultants with little knowledge of the issues at hand. I expect a range of viewpoints but some of the regular conservatives are far out of step with Seattle politics.

But…Stop it with the photos of you for the episode image. I listen for a reason. It bums me out seeing what you look like. 4/5 stars since I often find one or two of your guests are too conservative for me and I think generally not representative of the average Seattleite.
