Weekly Games Chat

I’m not even “that” into video games, and yet this show has consistently given me hours of entertainment for close to a decade. Three good friends who are all so different from one another, from gaming tastes to politics, and yet they keep the show interesting. It’s like a fine wine, getting better with age. Don’t be turned off by the banter, small talk, and inside jokes. With time, you’ll be belly laughing right along, appreciating the fact that they aren’t trying to be a comedy show; they’re just longtime friends who are authentic with each other, with the audience, with each topic discussed. Best. Podcast. Ever.

I don’t know where my last review went but here I go, first off I just wanna say I love this podcast. There’s just some things lately that have been bothering me. 2 of the 3 guys seem to be republican, yea everyone has the right to their own opinion but it creeps in at some really weird moments. It bothers me when someone talks about woke culture being injected into video games, it doesn’t make sense because they never had an issue with being represented in video games like ever especially when most games are not even American. I dunno if I can support a podcast that I feel is enabling fear into my life at any given moment. I’m gay and Hispanic, the more I listen the more I’m starting to feel excluded, talking about video games is not even an escape anymore. I don’t get how someone can play a video game that has real world implications about politics and then just ignore those implications all together in their lives. Last time I checked we are supposed to be united against evil.

Been a listener since 2019, love the intro banter about sports, entertainment and things about the hosts lives before diving into gaming content. Great wholesome conversations between friends. 5 stars.

It’s fine I guess, and these guys clearly love games, but it’s so hard to listen to these episodes! Boring, slow, and all over the place. IGN game scoop is a way better pod.
