    The Expectation of Peace

    How do we learn to experience peace in the midst of two realities? How do we live manifesting it, not only to ourselves, but to the rest of creation? The church is a community in the in-between, between what is and what will be. We are a community of waiting, people of hope. We believe that God has brought His kingdom closer in the person of Jesus Christ, but at the same time we live in this world. We are an Escatological community... We live a future in the present.

    Chaos. Brokenness. Hope. Three things that don't go together, or do they? This season of Advent has to do with the "waiting and hoping in prayerful expectation for the coming of the Messiah. We as the church look back upon Christ’s first coming in celebration while at the same time looking forward in eager anticipation to the coming of Christ’s kingdom when he returns for his people."
