Sky Notes Weekly Astrology Update June 10th - 17th

Some weeks the sky hands you a gift and a reality check in the same 24 hours. This is one of them. Tracy and Lillian get into the week of June 7–14, 2026 — starting with the aspect a lot of astrologers wait all year for: Venus meeting Jupiter in Cancer on the 9th. It's warm, it's generous, it's the good stuff. And then Mercury squares Saturn and basically says, "Cute. Now where's your plan?" We talk about the Moon's roller coaster ride with all that Cancer energy, why the Pisces hangover is still throbbing our brains, and what to do when an Aries Moon wants you to leap before you've aimed. There's also Uranus squaring the nodes — Lillian's evolutionary take on course-correcting what got missed, the case for finally dropping the perfectionism, and a Gottman detour about the "price of admission" that somehow lands right back on the astrology. Plus: Venus's sign change, Cancer season has your gut doing the talking, and there's a New Moon waiting for us. Got a question you want us to talk about on the show? Drop it in the comments — we'd love to actually get some. Want to stay up to date with all things Sky Notes? Sky Notes Astrology Weekly: Underwater

Sky Notes Weekly - May 31st - June 7th June kicks off on a full moon in Sagittarius, and Tracy and Lillian dig into what that means when Mercury moves into Cancer for an absurdly long stay — June 1st all the way to August 10th. It's part of a bigger pattern this year: Mercury's retrogrades are all happening in water signs, so it parks in each one for ages and gets a lot less logical than usual. Add a month with almost no earth element to keep anyone grounded, and you've got loud opinions, long-lasting impressions, and a lot of feelings with nowhere to put them. This week (May 31–June 7) brings Mercury trine the North Node and square Neptune on June 3rd, a Mercury-Pluto adjustment on the 4th, and a long void-of-course stretch heading into the weekend that's perfect for cleaning everything out. Tracy and Lillian get into the difference between being disconnected and being selective, why "is this any of your business?" might be the most useful question you ask all week, and the kind of energetic hygiene that keeps you from carrying around everyone else's emotional sludge. There's a rescue-helicopter metaphor, a naked emperor, Inanna's descent, and a genuine (not really) debate about whether the moon landing happened. You know, normal astrology conversation between friends. New here? Tracy Quinlan and Lillian Bennett are professional astrologers and friends who come at you each week with the transits, a bigger idea, or a guest.  In this episode: 00:00 — Intro / what's ahead 00:20 — How June opens: full moon alley-oop, disseminating to balsamic 01:15 — Planetary charities and Jupiter's last stand in exaltation 02:44 — Mercury's retrogrades all in water this year, and what that does to objectivity 04:00 — Too much water vs. the last dregs (Saturn in Pisces), Mercury as Uranus's lower octave 05:35 — Mercury doesn't have to tell the truth: the baby-stealing-Apollo's-herd story 06:50 — The challenge and gift of emotion in a dispassionate world; empathy as the upside 08:00 — Surgeon and rescue-diver images, the women's danger-signal videos, "don't give up" 09:27 — Precise, not disconnected 10:14 — Selective, not disconnected; helping someone doesn't mean you're married to them 11:16 — Why the emergency metaphors: conveying how process feels (helicopter rescue, Charlie Brown tree) 12:24 — The emperor's naked: personal vs. political 13:40 — A month with no earth element; depending on the moon for grounding 14:29 — Nostalgia, 29-degree endings, tying up loose ends 15:00 — Dying before you die: the descent of Inanna 16:12 — Week of May 31–June 7 begins: full moon in Sagittarius 16:51 — June 1: Mercury into Cancer until August 10th; impressions that last 18:11 — Mercury retrograde and shadow periods all in Cancer; revisiting the past 18:37 — Jupiter into Leo, Canada Day and the Fourth of July 19:31 — June 2: Sun sextile Saturn (grounding) 19:44 — June 3: Mercury trine North Node, square Neptune; karmic retribution and idealism 24:33 — Mercury square Neptune: miscommunication, course correction, rose-colored glasses 26:43 — The moon-landing example: collective realization, and the conflict it creates 28:17 — June 4: Mercury quincunx Pluto, the adjustment 28:50 — Quiet end of week: void of course Friday 3:49 PM ET into Saturday; clean everything out 29:35 — Moon in Capricorn then Aquarius: three days of grounding and detachment 30:50 — Selective and detached; practicing "no" 31:35 — Energetic and psychic hygiene; clearing other people's sludge 32:10 — "Is it your business?" Reclaiming Venus - The Point Most of Us Missed

In astrology, Venus rules love and beauty, right? Sure. But that's barely the surface of what she's doing in your chart, and if that's the only conversation you've had with her, you may be missing the point.. In this episode, Tracy and Lillian sit down with astrologer and author Dr. Stormie Grace to talk about Venus the way she works: as a magnet, a compass, and a practice. Not a personality trait and definitely not just decoration. They get into the two biggest misconceptions about Venus and why so many women can't answer "what do you want," and what starts to shift when you stop running Venus into the ground. Stormie also shares how her Venus Reset program came to be, and why the price dropped to make sure more women could get in. Grow Smarter with Donna Young - Using Astrology to Plant a Better Garden

What happens when an astrologer who doesn't consider herself a gardener decides to just... plant by the moon instead? Her first year, she was giving vegetables away to the whole neighbourhood. Nobody else in Calgary could grow peas. Hers were over her head. That's where this episode starts. Tracy and Lillian are joined by astrologer and Kepler College president Donna Young to dig into lunar gardening — moon phases vs. signs, void of course, the Apogee/Perigee (which most calendars skip entirely), Moon-Saturn aspects, biodynamic gardening, and what ancient Mesopotamian farmers were doing that we've mostly forgotten. It goes to some unexpected places. Birds. The Dust Bowl. Feng shui. A Washington Monument Christmas tree. And a county extension agent with the most practical advice you'll ever hear about when to prune your apple tree. Mars in Astrology: Your Drive, Your Patterns, and How to Work With It

Mars is often reduced to drive, ambition, and action—but that’s only part of the story. In this episode, Tracy and Lillian explore Mars as the force that moves you—and what happens when that energy is reactive, blocked, or misdirected. You’ll hear: how Mars functions in the natal chart (beyond just “motivation”) why Mars adds impatience and reactivity to planetary contacts the difference between being stimulated vs. truly energized how Mars operates as both a personal and social force what happens when Mars interacts with Saturn, Neptune, and the Moon how transits (like Mars moving into Aries) shift energy, direction, and momentum and practical ways to work with Mars instead of burning out or reacting Because Mars doesn’t just show how you take action—it shows what happens when you try.
