    Why does wellbeing science ignore the sacred? | A/Prof Vic Counted

    In this episode Matt speaks with Associate Professor Vic Counted, a psychologist of religion at Regent University and a faculty affiliate of Harvard's Human Flourishing Program.     Is it Possible to Live Well with Cancer?

    Matt sits down with A/Prof Hannah Wardill, who leads the Supportive Oncology Research Group at the University of Adelaide and SAHMRI, and Natalie Tuckey, a health and clinical psychologist finishing a PhD on multiple myeloma. Together they've spent the past few years taking a wellbeing skills program built for workplaces and rebuilding it for people living with a rare, incurable blood cancer. It's delivered in peer groups by specialist myeloma nurses, and it exists because consumers asked for it. Their answer so far is yes, it's possible. But not by accident, and not by waiting until someone falls apart first.     LIVE from ECPP26: Cleaning up the Mess of Measures in Positive Psychology

    In this special episode of Researching Happy, recorded at the European Conference on Positive Psychology in Dublin, Matthew Iasiello from Be Well Co and the University of Adelaide explores one of the most pressing issues in wellbeing science: the fragmented and inconsistent definitions of wellbeing. Iasiello presents a clear diagnosis of the problem — with nearly 100 different measures using widely varying dimensions, the field struggles with research synthesis, policy impact, and clear communication. When studies claim to “improve wellbeing,” it’s often unclear what exactly is being measured or changed.He proposes a promising solution: the development of a flexible, modular taxonomy of positive mental health. Drawing on a three-study program — including an umbrella review of 155 measures, in-depth item analysis, and a major Delphi consensus study with 122 leading international experts — Iasiello and his team identified 19 core dimensions that reached expert agreement.     Building Societies for Human Wellbeing: Stress, Social Conditions, and Flourishing | Dr. Matthew Fisher
